Just had a listen and still wish Jonathan would grow a pair and not be Ewans lap dog on the show.
And as for your lengthy pice at the top of the programme about Ewans perceived Band Wagon antics. You sadly missed the whole point of my criticism of you. As you know I have supported Cioffi throughout his time at the club as it is unfair to judge a manager without at least one pree season and one major transfer under his belt...My point was Ewan you chose to ignore this thought process and decided to criticise both Cioffi and anyone who was brave enough to support him. Linking to your restaurant analagy perhaps if you knew the chef was working with a damaged oven and one hand tied behind his back you might have more empathy towards the quality of food being presented..

Thanks again for listening and for the feedback Stephen, it is much appreciated.
It's clear we'll never agree or see eye to eye on this and i'm not going to repeat myself, so this conversation has gone as far as i can be arsed to take it.
A sincere question: Is there anything you do enjoy about the show? I know you listen, just can't fathom why.

Comedy gold Stephen.
What do you mean about being brave? At the fans forum last season you wound us up to be there to chat to you - three of us did only to find you disappearing so fast we thought there was a fire in the building. If you remember that forum came at a difficult time for GC, some difficult questions...but you sat there in silence when it was an ideal time to show your support.
In fact even the forum this season, I believe you were in the audience, surely a great opportunity to show your backing but.....er.....nothing.
Perhaps that is what the Straight Red guys were getting at?
I don't get the bit about the chef, if I go to a restaurant as a paying customer I have certain expectations. They may have their issues but that doesn't mean their problems should become mine. Same as last season, with a top 10 budget we underperformed, no matter how many times you try to pretend how marvellous it all was.
Of course that wasn't all GC's fault, the good news is this season looks a bit more positive, to a large part because he has been quite active in bringing in his own players and offloading the dead wood from previous seasons. Good for him, I have always thought signings were best left to the team manager not ex marketing/agent types doing the Football Manager routine.
Really not sure what you after rh15srn... He made his point in detail that it was the stats that worried him & he wanted an immediate change of manager as a consequence, surely that clearly tells you that he was not prepared to wait until the close season...?
You were prepared to be more patient, so was I & his co-presenter too, but it just means we held a different opinion, that's all...!
The criticism of them from Mr. Hilton was actually harsher & a lot more articulate and they dealt with it in a balanced way too (I will declare an interest as one third of the "banned-wagon").
Independence & balance are always positives, please remember that point Straightred chaps, when you are spending your bonus from your new best friend... "Mr. Has-to-buy-his-chums".

what a moronic paragraph Mr North, you’re better than that. They give the representation of most of the fan base as a whole no one seems to be as optimistic as you are about every manager or owner that steps in! Cioffi had the worst statistics of any Crawley manager. Kewell and Yates got sacked for a less abysmal record. As Ewan says if you don’t value their opinions don’t listen.

Or if you don't like criticism don't do the Gig.
They want criticism to improve the show it is as they say the fans show. He is not offering criticism that’s helpful apart from you should always support everyone he supports because he knows what’s best.

Is that aimed at us jambo? If so, i'm a little bit confused.
Not only do we ask for and welcome criticism, we openly discuss it.
Had a chance to listen to it properly, great episode as always agreed with you on the final segment about United and Cheltenham but I feel no matter what we as fans or the club do we cannot convince people en masse to return. The extra ‘plastic’ supporters are people who have season tickets for London clubs like Palace or people who always see Crawley as a bad football team.
I listened last night. As ever chaps, a good and informative listen. Well done for taking the time and effort to produce the podcast and keep up the good work
Really well done as always Chaps. Keep up the good work👏👏👏👏
