I am never short of praise for the ability of our number one to make great saves look routine, but for a change I want to praise the work that has evidently been put in to improve his kicking.
Interesting that both Man City & Arsenal conceded avoidable goals on Saturday as a direct consequence of overplaying it between keeper & defenders, in and around their own area...
...meanwhile Crawley Town are getting it forward quickly and Ollie now wins a lot of 1st ball from well placed Morris - who already has an assist to his stats - kicks to him.
Definitely makes watching less stressful, the long ball gets a lot of criticism but it doesn't mean it isn't the right ball on occasions...!
Yes he has definitely improved his kicking and that deserves recognition as that really adds to our attack, particularly on Saturday his quick kick up field led to RGC winning the penalty. Playing the ball forward fast and early from the keeper is the best way to go.

Yes, it definitely seems to be something that's been worked on. I noticed earlier in the season there was a game where Glenn had caught a cross, and then quickly booted the ball out wide straight to Grego Cox, and the coaches on the sideline celebrated it as if it were a goal.
Short pass, long pass? It doesn't matter. It's the correct pass that's needed.
Yesterday Arsenal were passing it short from their goalkicks when Watford were pressing high up the pitch. If they had sandwedged it over the top of them a couple of times it would have put doubt in the Watford players minds and stopped the high press. You have to fight for the right to play to your style. Arsenal didn't want to do it.
And yes, I agree. Glenn's passing does seemed to have improved this season.
