only the team at the top of the table have better form in last 5 matches. Good sides craft results when not playing particularly well. Yes we rode our luck, yes Glenn saved the day more than once, but its a point and a move into the play offs. Not a bad start to this season.
Thought a point each was fair - and so did a few of their fans (a very pleasant bunch too) that I spoke to at the end - although it would have been carnage if we did not have such an inspirational Goalie.
However, we were actually in the ascendant after our equaliser, looking stronger than them, despite having dug in for long spells throughout, with our spirit, fitness & talent all being tested to the limit in a very entertaining game.
Good point last night. Glad to see Palmer took the penalty. Morris celebrates his contract extension with yet another superb performance. Where would we be without him? Brilliant away following from Plymouth. To bring 800 to a midweek away game deserves credit. Into the top 7 now, all we have to do now is stay there!

Wow, where do I begin..... A hard earned point snatched from the jaws of defeat. My observations Morris had another inspired game, he kept the Plymouth goal tally to a miserly 2 when on another day they would have scored 7 or 8. The 2 CB's played superbly, a good partnership formed after only 2 games. As said before Doherty was caught out of position far to many times, one game he is brilliant (Norwich), indifferent (Mansfield) and shocking (Plymouth). I really like Camara but last night he was a liability, one dribble out of our box towards the end of the game resulted in him laying off a brilliant ball to Plymouths play maker. Our penalty was in my mind a bit soft, but the defender did make contact however slight, Palmer restored to penalty duties did his job. RGC gets better and better and was really pleased he got his goal. Well done to the 800 Plymouth fans a great turnout and their support was superb. Oh well another 37 points should see us safe

Our guile matched Argyle... Great stuff...!
Point each fair! I’ll bring some spare glasses next game...
I think we robbed them tbh. First half they gave us a lesson in playing football on the deck and it was only Morris (The Cat!?) that kept us in it with some superb stops. Second half and again Morris pulls off one of the saves of the season only for the inevitable to happen and they get one back. After their second went in I feared the worse but with Camara subbed (he was awful last night) and Palmer on we started looking more threatening and as Thad pointed out we played our best football once the penalty went in. Without a doubt that would have been a game we would have lost last season. Nothing to do with the game but queued for Stoke tickets before the game (around 7.20pm) and when I got to the counter I was told the queue was too long behind me for them to sell them to me!? There were around 6 people behind me, three of which then moved to a different counter to collect pre-booked tickets! How long does it take to print off three tickets and take payment with a card? Tin-pot, us, never.
Couldn't be there last night so many thanks for the reviews and updates.
We do seem to be increasingly allowing the opposition to have multiple chances in games just now - Mansfield had several excellent chances that they passed up and from what I can see on here, it was even worse last night.
It is not hard to see where it stems from - our centre backs are invariably excellent and to be honest, it is relatively easy to stay compact and strong through the middle - it is the wide areas where we have problems. I am in two minds about Josh Docherty - he was excellent against Norwich but the other games I have seen him in he has been very average. He seems to allow his man to turn and run at him, instead of preventing the turn and then he backs off and backs off, which is suicidal at any level.
Still, a hard fought point is not to be passed up - we march on.

Please bring your half-empty glasses... why not bring a smile & a bit of cheer too...!
YES, Plymouth are a top team, but we deserved a point for the brilliance of our keeper, the spirit we showed throughout in standing up to the onslaught, hanging in there & in the end finishing the match stronger than them, they had run themselves out...
...and Plymouth fans said the same - but hey-ho - I suppose you will tell me they were not proper Plymouth fans...(?)
I thought it was a terrific game. They dominated for large parts of the game and were in my view deservedly back in front with their second half display. I went with two mates from work - one Plymouth fan and one neutral. Both felt the same. In the end our resolve got us a point.
The pen was right - you could see it coming. RGC doesn't dive when he gets a nudge but does enough to show the ref he's been challenged. As soon as he turned the defender I thought it was going to end one way. After the pen I thought we could have nicked it but that would have been hard on Plymouth
I thought they were as good a side as I've seen this season. My mate says its a work in progress which is encouraging for them. Same goes for us. I think we are ahead of where we thought we would be this season. Long may it continue
And Glenn Morris - came into the side as 2nd choice three years ago. But time and time again he proves he's not only the best at CTFC but he's the best in the league. Glad his new deal is in place

Once again just shown up your usual lack of footy knowledge buddy. I don’t need to befriend Plymouth fans to form an opinion, I can see with my own eyes one team was way ahead of the other on the night. Maybe not in your strange fantasy world.

It doesn't matter about how far one team is ahead of the other on possession, corners, shots on target, off target - the only thing that counts is how many time you put the ball into the net legally and we did twice and so did they.

I thought a point was fair, they agreed with me.
And I even agree with you that One team WAS way ahead of the other... when they had the ball... but it does not mean that we did not deserve to share the spoils for our play out of possession & under the cosh...
...defending, particularly resolute, spirited & often last-ditch defending against a skillful attacking unit, is worth appreciating too.. and to their credit, a few Plymouth fans did...!

Pretty well summed up, Fnb.
I was watching from the West Stand nursing an Ingrowing toenail and what I would have liked to have seen was, RGC track back more to help Sesay, who was often exposed with two forwards attacking.

I'd rather Thad's strange fantasy world than your miserable bugger world. You begrudge us a hard won point against Plymouth, and seem to feel they had a divine right to win because they are better than us. No - they only have the win if they score more than us, which they didn't. We struggled a lot, but still matched them.
And as for your sour grapes about us beating Norwich in the cup - it doesn't matter what team they put out, we defeated them. They are out, and we march on. That seems to piss you off, i'm not sure why. Try enjoying watching Crawley win, and battle for draws against clearly superior teams. If enjoyment is a concept you understand.
