Not many positives. If Colchester sent a scout they wont be overly concerned. Not enough desire or urgency to get back in the game. Defensively I thought the centre halves were often miles apart. Sessay had dire match. You cant pump balls up to Bloomfield in the way you can with Palmer - did Gabby adjust the style of play to bedt suit the team? I dont think so. Dissapointing. Yes points dropped may suggest no play off push this season but the performance especially defending arguably confirms matters. We of course must judge over the distance but each match we get nearer the finish line. Only one relegated at least we can relax that excludes Crawley this season. Bad day at the office.
No play-off push? You reached that conclusion after one bad performance following a really good unbeaten run? It's still September ffs.
Has Nathanial George ever had a good game when his started his been brilliant off the bench so many times. Strange choice to leave Bez on the bench when Palmer unavailable. We lost to two wonder goals. We created so much more and on another day would have been in the game at half time which would have made the second half a more interesting watch. Walsall managed to kill the game with constant time wasting and lack of flow. I forgot how many times Lewis Young manages to pass to the opposition. Sesay was having an awful time against the 25 who was a great player have to question why the rest of our side did not help and double up on him. The bench looked thin with all the injuries where are the wonder kids free agents we signed after the window?
It was a disappointing afternoon because we know if we played that fixture 10 times we would win 8. On the plus side we are watching entertaining football after years of disjointed sides that lacked belief. We are not in a relegation battle this season if we can get the bodies back we have a real chance of being in reach of a playoff position.
"we know if we played that fixture 10 times we would win 8" Based on what? your team offered literally nothing at all.

"may" not "does" suggest.
Yep, that's fine, but then you said "...the performance especially defending arguably confirms matters". That's a pretty definitive statement of opinion, which you're entitled to.
Welcome to the forum upthesaddlers - it is always refreshing to hear from a different perspective.
It is hard for me to comment because I wasn't at the game on Saturday unfortunately and 8 out of 10 is hard to quantify in this context but if we did offer "literally nothing at all" and still put two goals past you, well, that's not a bad return for offering "literally nothing", don't you think?
We also need to put the game into context - we did have an energy and stamina-sapping cup match against Stoke in midweek, while Walsall had a week off. Why was that again?...oh yes because we put you out the cup - remember that? I remember it because I was there and I think that night we certainly offered a little more than "literally nothing". Perhaps you were there too and saw it for yourself - it was a bit late but perhaps you were allowed to stay up as it was during the holidays.
"Can't see Crawley finished in the top half of the table". Maybe, maybe not but at the moment I still see us in the top half and Walsall four places beneath us, very much in the bottom half.
I'm not sure if you will be a regular visitor here or not but you are always welcome.

Yes you offered nothing but scored two goals, One was a penalty which your player literally played for, then once it was took you had another player run up to the ball with him - Should not have counted. And your second goal was a thunderbolt, we scored one similar but better in the same game if you remember? And yes i was there for the cup game, the cup that we put out a weaker side for and a cup which none of us will win anyway lmao. Cheers for the 3 points, we'll be play offs, you'll be bottom half.

Now then, Laddie. Try and finish your English homework and make sure your Mother changes your nappy before bedtime. Sweet dreams.
I did say that I couldn't make the game, remember?
However, I heard that Crawley played well, that we looked very dangerous to the extent that at some points during the game, it was just shooting practice for us, especially when you shut up shop.
We were the best opposition for you this season so far, you had a bit of luck and we were the better side. Our wingers were excellent and really tested your defence again and again.

It’s good to see someone on here that can respond with a little class unlike some of the regulars.

Lmao wasnt very good shooting practice then cos the only shots you had besides the penalty were from about 40 yards. Try to gloss over it however you like, we out played and outscored you. Better team won simple

Oh and also your wingers were usless, the only good player was the black winger you brought on in the second. Jules easily kept your number 7 quiet on your right
I'm not trying to gloss it over at all - I agree I did write:

Unfortunately I can't take credit for any of those comments though - they all came from Walsall fans. You might be familiar with some of them because coincidently, the forum is also called "UpTheSaddlers".
So, you see my problem. These comments come from a good number of Walsall fans, whereas I only have you stating that "we outplayed you" and that you were the "better team".
