Gotta say that we have a good track record of having Crawley Town FC banners proudly on display at international matches.
I've enjoyed what I've seen of the Women's Football European final tournament. England have done well to make the semi-final but seem a spot tense & inhibited and have ridden their luck on occasions, be nice if they could throw off the shackles.
And the competition has produced wonderful headlines along the lines of: "Nobbs missing for England Ladies".

The flag is in a great spot this evening. Just behind the Dutch goal for first half. So behind our keeper in second. Great publicity for our club. Come on England!

yes good publicity though how many people actually watch womens football?
It likely got a decent TV audience from a lot of people who wouldn't normally be interested. Unfortunately, the tinpot CTFC banner was the high point.
England were not a great advert for the sport. The Dutch were technically good, moved the ball well & were organised in defence... in contrast to England who were sloppy and devoid of creative ideas.
Worst of all they seemed to dive at every opportunity and that is a real shame because that was one the best things about the ladies game, it has always had a good spirit in which it is played and a notable lack of petty dramatics unlike their male equivalents. It will be a real shame if that has been lost as part of the price to be paid for a higher profile and increased money.
Have to admit to being very impressed by the all-action Danish Skjipper, Pernille Harder... commentators might be glad she is not facing England's Nobbs in the final... don't be fooled chaps, she takes no prisoners.
