Listening to Kelly's podcast it was too much of a risk financially if we didn't sell out, it might have been a big ask to shift another 1300 home tickets but we'll never know i guess. For those that haven't heard it I'd say it's more annoying that we've got the two rows in the east stand out of action which equate to about 380 seats - all because of red tape around health and safety. Due to increased security at this game we're just breaking even!
Not much of a financial risk not to sell any extra at £10 a pop. I could understand not taking the risk if they were £25 each.
Yes, wasn’t lost on me either...though really it’s the actions so far in the competition that have caused the need for extra security, and thus severely reducing our chances of making a profit.

What is the H&S issue with the first 2 rows in the east stand?

You can, on occasions, hear the players saying naughty words.

You are joking right? Or is swearing now a health and safety issue? OMFG.
yes he’s joking as far as I know this health and safety issue is why the east stand needs repairs and is not a case of if they simply can’t sit there for a stupid reason but because someone could injure themselves.
Does anyone know exactly what the h and s issue is and what majes row 3 safe etc?
I’m sure most of us would love to know the issue with the first two rows. Is the problem with the actual seats? Is there a one in a million chance that the overhead guttering could collapse on to the front row? Is it simply a way of reducing the stadium/east stand in particular capacity? Is it because of naughty swear words? 😂Sorry about that one.
Either way, the ground capacity is currently well below the official figure given by the club.

I’m happy to be corrected... but I’m sure I heard that due to there only being two turnstiles to access the East Stand (all in the planning) the full number of seats cannot be sold. There has to be a ratio of turnstiles to the number of seats. ?
Alternatively if there was heavy rain and someone sat in those two front rows put up an umbrella...they could take someone’s bloody eye out. 😁

As someone who missed out on a ticket, I'm happy to arrive very early and get wet to circumvent those problems!

I too have heard this rumour regarding the number of turnstiles. But......how did we manage to get the current stadium record attendance if that was the case? Were the front two rows sold out against Reading in the cup game? Is it new legislation?
I may be totally mis-remembering this but I'm sure Kelly said in the podcast that it was something to do with the base or flooring underneath the seats. No disrespect to those who made it but I can't be bothered to go through the podcast again to check! :-)

if seating in front rows is unsafe (just wondering) then how are any other seats safe as you pass by these to others?

No idea - you'd have to ask someone who knows about these things! :-) It would be nice to have something a bit more permanent there but I guess that is not going to happen any time soon.
