Wonder if the club will reduce admission prices for this game - I think they might have done for the Southend FA Cup game last season, but I am not 100% certain?
be good if they did. Why not get a bigger crowd in.

I think they have set a precedent now with reduced admission for the EFL cup games this season. Normal prices and could be a low crowd. If we play a championship or Prem club in the 3rd round then by all means have normal prices, but against L2 teams in the cup I think the best thing is to reduce prices.
Not sure that we have the final say on the matter.
I believe that - because FA Cup games have a preset distribution of gate receipts - ticket prices are determined through an agreement between all parties...(?)

We do have the final say Thad - the rule changed in 2017 and states that the home team decides the prices, subject to a minimum charge of £10.
FA CUP Rule 20
(ii) Competition Proper
Immediately after the draw is known, the Club playing at home shall decide on the prices of admission, subject to a minimum price of £10.00 for all spectators other than concessions. The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if mutually agreed by both Clubs.

So it is up to us to dictate the prices.

Thanks Sons, unlike the FA to make sensible changes & not tell us... there have been moans about away fans being ripped-off forever, so it is a positive.
However, a set minimum tariff ensures that home teams still do not have carte-blanche when setting a low price. I can see why it is there, as the FA percentage funds the prize pool.
Does the minimum increase as the competition progresses...?

Thanks Thad. I'm not sure I see it in quite the same positive way. Under the previous rules the prices were determined by negotiation between the teams with FA providing any conflict resolution. Now, there is no resolution, what the home team dictates carries and it is open to the big teams to set high prices that are difficult for the fans of lower league teams to accept.
Let's get to the stage of drawing a big team away, before we complain too much about it though.
