Crawley Town play at home to Swindon Town in League Two of the 2019/2020 season, Saturday 26th October 3:00 pm kick off. Please keep all discussion about the match to this thread. Thank you and come on you Reds!
Contender for worst performance of season so far h/t 0-2; team lacks balance, shape, ball winners a smith/payne/bullman type. Both team struck woodwork but if we dont change something a 5-0 defeat wouldnt surprise me.
Both of doyle’s Headed goals we conceded from the same wing. Poor midfield again felt a bit for nadesan but couldn’t make an impact. Let’s hope this doesn’t affect our confidence going into Tuesday.
Absolute rubbish , 2 nil down and you take a forward off to leave one up front , a load of players who clearly could not be bothered , free fall on the way.
That was bl00dy awful. From the manager down. Bl00dy awful.
If you want to analyze that start with no protection for the full backs. Look at a lack of bite in central midfield and a dearth of forward creativity. If this was football manager I would be sacking the lot of them and starting again.
The last 30 minutes was a training exercise for Swindon. If they had bothered to attack a bit more they could have had a cricket score. I would back a Sunday League side against that finishing midfield three.
Minds on Tuesday? The manager lost us the game. The set up and tactics were diabolical...just one example we are a couple of goals down and plenty of time remains. Swindon freekick by halfway line and everyones behind the ball. Another the Swindon player in midfield (think no. 42) does a 360 turn with ball at his feet having stopped taken a good look around with so many options. Swindon took the p155 out of us. Play like that Tuesday and we have no hope of winning. No hope whatsoever.
It is no exaggeration to say that is one of worst performances I've ever seen at the Broadfield. Absolutely pathetic display. Shape was all wrong, nobody getting stuck in in midfield, too many attacking players on the pitch who just want the ball at their feet all the time. Nobody had a good game at all, we were so disorganised. We didn't get near them at all, we seemed to give up mid way through the second half, we made them look like Man City the way they passed it round us with ease. It looked to me like none of our players wanted to be out there today.
Morris- OK
Sessay- all over the place
Dallison- kept giving away fouls and didn't mark up in the box
Tunnicliffe- ditto above
Doherty- Appalling. Kept giving the ball away and seemed to struggle with the pace of the game
Camara- a clown, couldn't keep hold the ball and didn't get stuck in
Ferguson- a passenger, didn't get near the opposition, one good shot which hit the post, that was it
Nathaniel George- tried to make things happen, but kept hold of the ball for too long, team mates not on the same wave length
Nadesan- Game seemed to pass him by, looked lost out there
Bloomfield- Again the game passed him by, what did he do?
Grego- Cox- another one who wants the ball at his feet all the time and isn't prepared to work for it
A totally inept performance the likes of which I hope to never see again.
I heard today that Bulman is not in the squad because he has now also fallen out with the manager after he(bulman) had a go at some of his team mates for not trying hard training.. I have never known a manager to have so many issues with his players, we have gone from from having a strong squad at the start of the season to a average at best squad. Our midfield has been decimated by our managers personnel issue with players and that is not acceptable..

oh dear if true very worrying. Lets not forget last season many fans were calling for his head.
Oh dear, what a shocker. I can’t think of anything positive to say about that performance except that the crossbar probably saved us from losing 0-5. Bulman was sat in the West Stand.
An apology from the manager would be a start, no plan B, and his plan A was awful. One of the worse performances I've seen, no guts no fight just embarrassing, A waste of my time A Waste of my money Makes me wonder why i bother
