Apologies for my late arrival at the post match debate.
In summary: Fleetwood were STRONGER than us, they came to spoil & do enough to get a result, we were unable to stop them (the Ref did not help either).
If that is the sort of stuff a team with Championship aspirations dishes up, then i am happy to stay in L2.
One positive, two up front worked, but i think Pooch would have disrupted them & without that it was too comfortable for them.
Lastly, the only concern i ever want at 2pm on a December Sunday, is whether there is enough gravy to go around...!
Sunday and 2pm was a disaster Id say low crowd and i doubt Sunday was more attractive to away fans too. Keep football to Saturdays please.
Very harsh comments. We were pretty decent today, mostly matching a team two points off third place in League 1 who picked their first choice team.
We deserved a replay but were denied by an incompetent referee and an incompetent West Stand linesman, the two worst match officials I’ve seen this season.
I don’t know if Cioffi is the right man to take the team forward but using today as a stick to beat him is a bit ridiculous
I am somebody who loves the Fa Cup as a relief from the tedium of our league performances and was hoping out players would be fired up to really take the game to Fleetwood, and what did we get 44 minutes no shots and nothing much resembling a stirring cup display. We did get back in with a decent goal after a bad mistake by them but come on that was really tame. We did have a bit of a go the last few minutes but it was a million miles away from the sort of displays against higher opposition we had when a non league team under SE. Time after time this season opposition keepers might as well bring a deckchair out with them for the little they have had to do and that is part of the huge disconnect between Cioffi's "good performances" and our increasingly bored and disillusioned fan base. It wasn't the worst performance by any means but that isn't really saying much and it was reflected in almost total silence from the crowd for large parts of the game apart from when the ref tried to liven things up. Also can we please ditch the tie up with Brighton and save our pitch for our team (& maybe Crawley Wasps a few times).

I believe the link down south may bring much needed pennies our way....it also is starting to churn the pitch up.
Brighton Ladies will leave when their Training pitches are completed at Lancing - It's only a few games and we did get pitch redone by them so a good deal -
That is often quoted as such, but how much is our own local identity worth, not to mention a pitch that is now commented on as being a tricky surface and we aren't even at Christmas yet.

Are Brighton U-21s playing at our p!ace tonight, I see they are in the mickey mouse cup v Newport, or do they have another alternative While we play a home game away?

if appears Brighton are playing at the Amex with a 7pm kick off, now that really will help their attendance, not! (292 attendance how pathetic is that?)

We aren't playing a Home game away ?
?? Pedantic but true I suppose sorry -while we are playing a home game at a neutral ground - better?
