Why not give Edu the job till the season ends, how many times does a manager get the sack and a member of his backroom staff is appointed and steadies the ship, it rarely leads to long term success but does save making a rushed decision.

What was Edu’s input under Cioffi?
Why did he leave MK DONS and look where they were before and when he left.
It always baffles me when John Yems name comes up as a contender amongst our fan base; given that a lot of the criticisms about managers boil down to lack of management experience.
If you took his tenure with us during / after the Hollins era away from his CV; it would be an even more obscure appointment than Kewell or Drummy. But because he was with us over a decade ago, it somehow qualifies him.
That said; He’s been involved in football at various levels. And his experience will count for something.
He’s been to a lot of games this season (he was talking to some of the players in the clubhouse at the game against Lancing) so he will have an understanding of our strengths / weaknesses and his main asset it to me; is he seems to want the job (and was even interested in the job when it became available while he was at Bournemouth).
I’m not sure his appointment would unify the fan base; there doesn’t seem to be a single popular choice (Tisdale probably the closest to it but even then, there are dissenting views) and the ‘he knows the club’ goodwill will not last long. But whoever is appointed, they must be given time and not written off on day one.
We already know, that at the very least Yemnsy is pragmatic... He will ensure that we will scrap when we need to, in recent months we have let too many teams push us around & have things their own way...!

Bit surprised we haven't gone for someone with more managerial experience, but always have a bit of a soft spot for the unknown. It might turn out to be a masterstroke. Presume Tisdale turned us down. I'd be miffed if we didn't at least ask the question.
Best of luck John. Here's to hopefully enjoying watching football at the Broadfield again.
Incidentally, what a record for Edu to hold onto for a while. Won 100% of games as a manager with an average score of 7-0.
