I was shocked at being asked to pay £3.50 yesterday for a bottle of water and a packet of crisps. Now I know the club need cash but this is totally Dick Turpin. Needless to say I will not be purchasing anything from the refreshment outlet in the future.
I must admit I used to get a bottle of coke for £1.50, but when they changed caterers last season and it went up to £2.00 I stopped. The West Stand (South) catering was closed again yesterday - mabe because of the prices there isn't the demand to justify it ?

£2.50 for a dozen chips is quite steep as well. I will not be purchasing any again.
£2.50 is steep for chips that are so bad that my youngest who has the ability to eat most junk couldn't stomach them. In fairness it stopped him asking for anything else so done me a favour.

West Stand (north) had no hot water in the urn for tea or coffee at half-time. The art of being prepared.
I'll pay £1.50 for a hot drink but not £2 for a bottle of coke. Their lack of preparation saved me £1.50. And after paying £3 for a programme that was just over half the size of last season's I may well be saving another £3 at the next home game by not getting one then.
I want to give the club money, but want to see value in return. I'm not just going to give it to them on a whim, which is what it feels like they expect.
I think someone said on another thread that the number of pages in the programme had halved too.
Not to mention the PA system still doesn't work where we are. We struggled to hear the teams on Saturday (particularly as the scoreboard wasn't working...).
I suspect the reality here is that the club is operating on a shoe string and we just don't have the resources - any spare cash is going into the squad.
