This will depend on how we start the game. Start as we did on Saturday then forget it, a cricket score could be on the cards. If the team plays as it did from 45-75 minutes turns up from the off then we could make a game of it. I'm not expecting much in all honesty...but a confidence building exercise could come in handy with the league fixtures coming up. We should have half decent support with it being a new ground for most of us. Come on you reds!!! Blues 3-1 Reds

There are always surprise results in this competition. Maybe we could produce a Hull type performance and be one of the surprises. 1-0 Reds. 103 Reds fans.
Huge game for us as a club and the supporters. Yes league position is the most important thing, but we have 45 more games to put that right. Only one win away from a potential premiership tie and the money this can bring is vital for a club our size. Takikg a car load tonight so finger crossed we name our strongest side.

if HK knowingly names a weaker side he should be sacked immediately for reasons you state. Its massive match and i just hope Brum are complacent and maybe we nick a one nil goal offvrefs backside anything to draw Man City, Arsenal or similar at home.
One problem is that HK's background is Premier League level where they treat the cups with contempt. If he does the same with us he could fall out of favour very quickly? Really depends on his selection but would hope for a competitive performance, but we desperately need to start winning some of these cup games (and not the Mickey Mouse FL Trophy which profile wise in the town is akin to the Gilbert Rice Floodlit Cup even if the prize money is better) to try and generate some interest locally?
Good points above. If HK does name a reserve side tonight my promotion of the club will be severely tested till they get their act together. Was very annoyed at the Brigton pre-season situation. Taking the afternoon off work, and people up to Birmingham is a big commitment.

Sorry, messed that post up with dunce editing "skills".
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but teams in European competitions do not enter until the round after next.

I'm a little concerned Harry has got his cups mixed up. In the preview he says the Carabao Cup is a chance for more silverware?
I say this tongue in cheek, but i do have a slight nagging concern he's getting mixed up with the Checkatrade trophy is he? With footballers not always being the brightest and higher league u23 sides now in the comp I could see how one could get confused.
