"we have significantly improved the areas in our team".....enlighten me please...where? On a more pisitive note he goes on to say that continues until the end of the month, however if the club cant do the simples like publish coffee day.....only time will tell.
Incidentally I cant recall anyone actually saying HK should be sacked.
I'm afraid if we have a bigger budget than last year then we haven't used it well.
As far as the bit about "we have significantly improved the areas in our team". I beg to differ. Some positives for sure but Verheydt for Collins is undoubtedly weaker and I would be seriously worried on the goalscoring front.
Of course the window doesn't shut for a couple of weeks and we need to be active for both loans and signings.

I just hope that Kewell doesn't go down the Drummy route by signing some of his Watford Kids on loan.
If they're on a par with Dennon Lewis I despair !!
The guys on TV made a very good point today. To be successful the spine of the team must be there.
GK - fine. Problem if Morris gets injured but that's a risk we can take.
Defence - not strong enough, every game we have given away silly goals in the CB area. Connolly needs a decent partner.
MF - looks OK so far with Bulman and Randall.
Forward - we have lost a 20 goal forward and not replaced him.
So my suggestion between now and the end of August is to find a decent CB and forward. People with experience in the FL. Please, no more Sanoh/Lewis/TV type stuff.
Must be expensive having Cox sat on the bench on his wages.

doubt any more expensive than if Cox played unless you are suggesting a reasonable chunk of salary is on him playing
I think the squad is better than last seasons....weakened by the loss of Collins no doubt and not replaced with the same level of quality. But generally overall it's stronger than last year.

That wasn't my point.
Cox is one of our highest earners, a bit silly having him on good money, signed until 2019 and not being used.

That is a fair accessment. We have much bigger problems than getting a back up keeper. If we are going to play attacking full backs, we need some proper centre backs in a back 3. Connolly isn't strong enough to be tackling the big striker so would benefit from having Yorwerth and McNernery. We are under constant pressure from not being able to clear our lines, win headers and end up giving away needless free kicks where we struggle to deal with the physicality of league 2. Free kicks on the edge of the box is a fantastic opportunity and I counted 3 at chelts?? Most of these come as a result of wrestling with the big striker. Back 3 of Payne, conns, and lelan is all about playing it out, rather than preventing goals. CM I feel we are fine, with lots of options. Although we lost the midfield battle on sat. Forwards, i just cannot see at the minute where the goals are coming from. With the personnel we have, we need to build on clean sheets which i think we can if we stop trying to play an expansive game. If we let a goal in I can't at the moment see us getting 2. Build from the back and the confidence will grow.

Agree about that back 3 and playing it out. I thought Payne was wasted there if all that is going to happen is that he gets the ball then it ends up going back to Morris who has to thump it because he is being closed down. We need movement and space further forward for that style to be effective.
We have good players in CM but personally I felt one thing that changed the momentum on Saturday was Sellars going off and being replaced by Atangana. He's big, strong, breaks up play and has the ability to drive forward with the ball. We could certainly do with somebody like that. He was at Orient last season so maybe we missed out there?
