Watching the highlights, I don't understand why the Northampton player didn't just pass the ball into the net when Morris came out his goal, the goal was wide open! Glenn did well to not come rushing out and commit a foul and give away the penalty there, I think he slipped a bit which made up his mind, but that could've ended up with Morris getting sent off and us drawing the game!
Again on their website we are one of the worst teams they have seen this season - yes they may have more possession, corners, shots on and off target but the only one that counts is our one shot on target that ended up in the back of their net - that’s the only statistic that actually will win you matches - we were lucky at times but that’s not in statistics - so that’s 4 points taken off Northampton this season - and no goals conceded - not bad for a poor team eh

I'm sure we've lost games where we deserve better. It balances out.
I’m amazed we ever get any points at all to be honest. If you read the forum of any other team we play against, there is always a numpty or two that asserts that their team ought to be beating “teams like Crawley”. One Cobblers fan labelled us an annoying ex non league team. Err, weren’t Northampton non league once? And, I seem to recall that as a non league team we had rather a good FA Cup result against Northampton. Don’t you just love getting results like yesterday? 🙂

Yes it winds me up a bit, we’ve been in league two for what? 6 seasons consecutively now? We’ve established ourselves as a football league club which for where we were before is no small feat. And as I always like to point out “teams like Crawley” as Gary Neville has discovered during his ownership of Salford are not that easy to play against let alone beat!

Very well said, especially about the arse of 92. 11th season as a football league club as well.
There have been and there will be many times this season and I’m other seasons where we haven’t and we get what we deserve in games, but as I thought at the start of the season, this team can win as many games as we’ll lose and we have done exactly that so far- our record in the league reads 9 wins 4 draws and 9 defeats. I expect that to be roughly the same patter come the end of the season unless we get a load of injuries. Certainly if we can get Nadesan, Nichols and Appiah on the pitch together we will be alright.

and on our crowds and budget keeping the club in the football league and not having to enter a dog fight to stay up is an achievement.
I’ve no problem saying Northampton were the better team yesterday, just as I’m sure their level-headed fans would have given us credit for our gritty battling and great goal. The reality is it doesn’t matter what anyone says, it will never change the fact that we got the three points
