current 727 STH and Im sure we had over 1000 before lockdown. Im only going on memory but I believe attendances are down about 200 now compared to before lockdown.
Are you sure George? I’m pretty sure I’ve been saying to the fella next to me “1,800 home Crawley fans again” ever since relegation. It’s become a standing joke between us to who can say it first. I admit I’ve not checked the stats though but it impressionistically seems our crowds are stable, no growth but no falling off cliffs. Well blow me down very similar to that again yesterday, 1900
Certainly agree season tickets have become less attractive in the Covid era because people have realised you are paying for a large bloc of games up front that you may not be let in to see, whether these ex season ticket holders are now not coming though, I’m not sure
Its my guess but STH definitely down and yes I suspect being stitched up having paid MORE for a ST than Non ST per game (when watching ifollow) and being given ifollow to 'compensate' (without the additional cash reimbursement per game) has p155ed a few STH off and made them cautious of renewing.

Might there be room to offer a discount for STH for next season if they had a ST for the relevant covid period?

There are definitely London Championship sides with lower season ticket prices than us - we need to compete on price especially as we not anywhere near their level at the moment
This result does give me an opportunity to gently remind our American friends that we did not win the match by a score of: "one and oooohhhh" ...as in the alphabetic letter "O" worth 8 points in scrabble...
...we actually beat Barrow "one nil" and I will even generously accept "by one and zero" but "o" - the letter "o" - is never a valid score under ANY circumstances...!

Oh Thad so pedantic!
And don't get me bloody started on date formats that have the Month as the most significant element... Leading with the Day is fine... leading with the Year is acceptable... leading with the MONTH will never ever make any sense at all...!
ps. An authentic pedant would also have spotted that "one and oooohhhh" actually overlooks that they would have pronounced the result as"oooohhhh and one" Lawd knows why, but over the pond, the first reference invariably references the visiting side...(?)

As for American date formats, the only logic I see is that doing yyyy/mm/dd gives a more reliable way of showing a list of dates in the correct date order. Most of the time this doesn't matter, but I do have a use for that format because I have a number of sub-folders within a main folder on my computer. They contain scans of cheque deposits (yes, I still take cheques for my work but receive relatively few these days) and the sub-folders names are the deposit dates.

Haha, this is funny and something I've never heard from a fellow American. I agree though, describing a match result as "one and oooohhhh" is never acceptable.
Wrong Jim.... Henry VIII is the 8th English monarch with the Reginal name Henry... April 13th is the 13th ever instance of April... NOT the 13th day of April...! The 13th OF April.... IS the 13th day of April...!
However, I am prepared to accept flawed semantics used to express the date verbally or in longhand.
My concern is when a date appears in a format that defies all numerical logic. Acceptable formats are "DD/MM/YY" & "YY/MM/DD" as they deploy an unambiguous ascending or descending sequence. In both instances the Month is the central element, it is correctly placed between Year & Day, where it belongs.
Any format that begins "MM/" is therefore an abomination to any person of reason & intelligence...!
And just to throw in another debating point, when giving someone a phone number do you give a code of eg 01293 as oh one two nine three or zero one two nine three? :-)
All of which goes rather off topic from the original post. Belated thoughts are that Hutchinson looked really good in the second half and I thought we lost our momentum after he and Ferry were replaced. Good job I am not a betting person as I would have put serious money on Kwesi scoring with the header from the corner routine just before he got his goal. Still not sure how that didn’t go in! I do hope that any new transatlantic subscribers to iFollow weren’t too put off by the first half! Looking at the way their keeper’s long kick out in the first half bounced over Cat’s head I do wonder whether the wind was more of a factor than we realised. Ironically, we found more space and played better passing football in the second half and we look so much better when we do that rather than vaguely banging a long ball in Nadders’ direction.
Fair do’s Jim! I must admit that I sometimes find myself going down the oh one two route, but then I’m old enough to remember having letters as part of phone numbers and having them on the phone dial! :-)
