The result today was almost inevitable in the wake of this morning's news so let's be thankful it occurred in a pretty meaningless game for us anyway.
Whatever the eventual outcome of the matter let's hope CTFC investigate it fully and fairly in relation to all concerned and that it's not some sort of stitch up.
I suppose of all the times for this sort of thing to come up when we are already safe and comfortably in mid table on 60 points with 3 games to go is one of the least worst times. I hope the off the field events didn't affect the players too much, but our good run was never going to last forever and I felt we have rode our luck quite a lot over the past 4 or 5 games and losing to a team going for the play offs away from home is hardly unsurprising. Let's hope we can get one more win before the season ends and beat last seasons points tally and I think we can count that as a good season all things considered and hopefully we can finish higher next season.
Yes I think another couple of points - so a win against Orient? - guarantees us 12th, probably can’t get much higher, so another top half finish would be alright👍
Be interesting if the match against Oldham is ordered to be played behind closed doors because of what happened there. Did say in another thread I could see a pitch invasion akin to Blackpool in 2015 but thought it would happen when we play us as didn't think Stevenage and Barrow would both win today
As for our match, heard it was a poor performance but think the events of the last 24 hours have overshadowed it.
