Definitely, even if it means they train at a school again. A shame as Horsham’s ground is very nice but it’s clear the players need a grass pitch
I wonder if the artificial pitch we train on at Horsham has contributed to our injury crisis this season ?
100% will have had an effect. I spoke to Paul Jones years ago back when we were training on the artificial over the road from the stadium. Said it was horrendous on his knees
Crawley57away I do not have all day to constantly check the personal remarks you post its easier to ban you - please respect that whilst xyz may be the most important question to you, the west stand gents hand dryer not working or the shades of patterns the groundsman cuts the grass on the pitch may be of more importance to others. Thank you.
ADMIN ANNOUNCEMENT:
Crawley57away has received a temp ban (48 hours) for repeated personal remarks
I know this would be an incredibly difficult question to answer but I’d like to know if the owners feel any projects developing the stadium would be worthwhile. Sadly, crowds of 3,000 don’t really sustainably fund the wages of League One teams and players
Who will you consider to be more important - those who have bought NFTs - potentially from around the world - or the fans who support the team in person and have done for many years?
How much do you know of Crawley Town’s history, both recent and in decades gone by?
As it happens, I agree about the training facilities. While Horsham might be an impressive newish facility for us to be able to use, I don’t like artificial pitches and having to train on one may well have contributed to our freakish run of injuries this season. Trying to find a suitable location with decent grass pitches is something of a priority if funds are available.
Ideally yes it would be good to get a training ground sorted, but I feel that is more of a long term investment that will take at least a few years to realise. But yes that should be in the plans going forward

Good point, but Accrington have been pretty stable in L1 for a few years now and they don't get very big crowds. For us, I feel the big challenge is to try and increase the core fanbase in the area that would come to every game. That will involve doing research on effective marketing around the area and online as well as having a team that is winning games and playing entertaining, attacking football.
Oh yeah, and fix the holes in the men's toilet ceiling
It seems so long ago now and so much has happened in the short time since then, but I think they mentioned the/a training ground briefly in the first podcast

Yup but my issue is outliers never become a general trend. Accrington will certainly manage one more season than we did, but that's all we know so far. In our 3 seasons in League 1, you could see gravity drag us down, a good/reasonable season and a half, as our players outperformed, and then even our more expensive signings not making the grade of the division from then on. Can we long term ever be more than a yo yo League 1-League 2 club with our current stadium infrastructure? Obviously the NFTs might be a way to unlock that dilemma

When I spoke to Preston before the game on Saturday, he said he had had a lot of discussions about a new training ground. It's definitely front and centre on WAGMI's agenda.
I have just read that Copthorne FC are using Horsham’s Camping World Community Stadium. for their home and cup games Plus training facilities next season . Where does that leave us??? are we due to train there next season. I realise their pitches aren’t ideal but what other options are open to us

Speaking to Yems, he mentioned that they would be doing more sessions at Three Bridges

What League are Copthorne playing in?
I remember when they played in the now defunct Crawley & District League not so long ago.
