i would like to know who decided Archie Davies must be on his way? The assistant manager? the owners? the general manager? who has made this decision? do we know?

I could have been the player himself.
Potentially, also in terms of deciding player contracts I would imagine it's the new owners, Lewis Young and a couple of other people that are responsible for that task

It’s the ‘football operations team’ who are making these decisions. I did ask Preston who the football operations team was made up of, however was given no answer
I’d probably make the case that these players are victims of so many of the current team being re-signed recently, I think the owners are right now to give the new manager more room to build his own team with his own signings. I personally would have swapped Davies out for 1 or 2 of those ten but everyone has an opinion, that’s the beauty of football

An additional headache as well is that it's likely a lot of the recent renewed contracts were strongly influenced by someone who's no longer at the club now, and the new manager might decide that they don't want a few of these players in their plans. But to be honest, a clear out of players was needed anyway even if the takeover didn't happen, as there's too many in the squad that never play

Stephen, why can you not even bring yourself to say John’s name? Is it because the allegations in the Mail must be true, but quotes from Lewis Young should be taken with caution until a full investigation is carried out? 😒😒

I think some things are private between club and player and rightly so.
