If you look at the video yorwerth did not deserve to be sent off...he was trampled on by 2-3 of there players and did not throw a punch back or respond. Hopefully could be rescinded by EFL

video didnt show his push shouve bit earlier but you are right re trampled on....however i think he gave as good as he got...yorweth looked like a wild animal. ....lashing out at anyone and everyone. Amazingly Roberts wasnt red carded as ref seemed have it in for him.
Another dreary performance where we struggled to pose any threat and could've played all day and still wouldn't have scored.
First half was OK to a point, Carlisle shaded it and had a few chances. We didn't threaten much, but didn't look too much like conceding.
Second half, it all fell apart again. Carlisle scored a well worked goal and never looked like surrendering the lead. Then despite then going down to 10 men, we still couldn't create anything of note. Again no plan apart from lump it up there and stick as many forwards as we can on. Carlisle just about deserved the win.
We again lost our shape in the second half, there's no balance to the team. We stick Roberts, Enzio, Meite and Camara up top, but none of them can get near the goal!
We desperately need a striker or 2 to give the opposition something to think about and have more threat up front, because at the moment we are so predictable and easy to defend against.
The more we play, the more I realise that Harry doesn't have a clue what he's doing and is simply making it up as he goes along:
-Tries to play out from the back and the changes his mind and tells them to lump it (neither works when you have no midfield or strikers)
- keeps changing personnel and formations
-leaves out 2 of our better players
-has no plan B and just throws on forward players and plays them out of position when we're losing
1 win & 5 losses at home is awful.
Glen Morris is declining, Bulman is nowhere near as good as he was and we have no threat up front. Jimmy Smith is our best player at the moment, and no disrespect to him, he was one of our worst players a few years ago (yes he's improved, but the squad is much weaker).
I don't think we will gain anything in sacking Kewell just yet, yes things are bad, but not catastrophic yet, give him until Christmas at least. A new manager would have to work with the duds we've got and if by Christmas things still aren't working out, if we get a new manager in they can have a transfer window to try and save the season.

Couldn't agree more. Yes he shoved their bloke in the back at the corner but it hardly warranted the assault from their players which followed. Clint Hill in particular can think himself lucky and I hope there is further review of what happened. He stuck the boot in several times while Josh was on the ground being punched and trampled by other players. Brave guy Clint, it takes a real hard man to do that.
As as for the rest of the game I can't help agreeing that we never looked like scoring. A mate has mentioned that our home record since the Hartlepool game last season is W 2 D 4 L 11. That is pretty grim by any standards and is not only putting off regular fans but undermining all the work that is going on with the schools etc.
HK said (reading between the lines and bullsh1t) "look everybody im harry kewell a top football well er ex footballer im new well ok not quite new but hey watford doesnt really count... i got know-all like Cox trying to interfere with my learning of managing and my sidekick is struggling to find any ladybird books on how to coach football..i dont want us to lose any more than the players or fans and i had half a team of goalscorers out there...i tell them how its done but the fourth official keeps holding me back and wont let me on the pitch...i cant score for them..oh and next time ask my captain for the interview...about time he did something...now where was i....turkish delight anyone...tadz youll have some with me wont you lad....."
Didn't go yesterday as I am not based in the UK at the moment, but it just seems to be the same old story season in season out. You could look back to this time last season and we had the exact same problems under Drummy in playing it out at the back with an inexperienced manager whose previous experience was working with kids at a Premier League club. The difference this time is we have no 15-20 goals-a-season man.
Did anyone - anyone - actually think Kewell was the right man for the job? Did anyone really believe it would work this time around, despite it going horribly under DD? If Kewell hadn't had a link to Turkey in being a former Galatasaray player then I honestly don't think he would have been appointed.
Kewell seems incredibly naive - or arrogant - to me in claiming it's tough to get in the team when we're losing most weeks and then coming out and saying he's happy with performances when we've barely had a shot. The fact that we were bringing in someone who doesn't know the league was brought up just prior to him coming in and I think we're seeing just how crucial that knowledge is when seasoned professionals who more often than not are 7/10s in Kaby, McNerney and Cox are left out of not just the XI but the squad altogether. Oh, and the amount of times I hear HK bang on about how the players are "working hard" - surely that's a basic requirement of any job?
We're very fortunate - at the moment - that there are a few teams worse than us. Two of the four teams below us have acted quickly in ditching the manager already and with many on here saying we should give HK until Christmas, that time could come too late. I still wonder what would have happened had we appointed Saunders a week or two before we did in the League One relegation campaign, and ultimately, we paid a price for not acting quicker back then.
Kewell won't be resigning, as that would put an end to any potential management career IMO, but it's win or bust at Morecambe next week, for me. I don't want to hear the excuses about budgets, crowds etc, as they get less than us and have had financial difficulties in the last year or so.
It's time for change and Justin Edinburgh is the man - knows the league, is available, knows what's required, and more importantly has knowledge of who a good player is. It surely isn't a coincidence that Newport's real struggles started when he left for Gillingham.
Well if anyone is interested and I mean that in a nice way, I’m sorry folks but I’m voting with my feet now. (Waiting for tirade about being a fair weather supporter!) Have not seen this team win for so long, the last draw I saw was (0-0) against Cambridge last season, it’s now 5 home losses for me, typically I missed the Yeovil match. The team has no confidence, HK and I think, more importantly, Feeney (as he was bought in ,was he not, for the league knowledge) do not have the skills at this level. As numerous have said, playing out from the back is ok if you move quickly and forward, we simply have no forwards to aim at and nothing in the last third. Huge gaps and nothing in the box, as has been said many times. As for the standard of officials in this league, shocking! I have been watching this team in its many guises since non-league days and frankly (regardless of what you people think of me) this is entertainment which I and my family pay for. Change the manager and his assistant, by a striker for goodness sake and I’m sure we will plan to return but until then I’m out! Mr Eren your business model is failing. I wish you all well for the future. Good luck CTFC.
I stood and watched that yesterday and not once did my heart rate rise. No hands to the head at wasted chances, no anger at refs or Lino's decisions and, saddest of all, no wow at an amazing piece of play.
Two home wins since January but worse than that, I cannot remember the last time I've left the ground happy with our performance.
Kewell did not help himself by not starting the job straight away. To start the campaign with one senior striker and one promising newcomer was/is bad management. We are paying for it now.
And not to mention a wasted pre-season, not only the fans were cheated by paying good money to watch a 2nd string friendly but a wasted chance for the 1st team to gel. Or maybe that isnt the point of pre season in modern football.
There are quite a few issues to address and confidence & belief are at the heart of it, but we don't help ourselves with our movement off the ball, particularly up front where we lack incisiveness and hesitate at crucial moments. In the end we were lumping speculative balls in but with no-one gambling on making a run or prepared to do anything but the obvious. I wish we still had Matt Harrold available to bring off the bench he would have relished that sort of game.
Gotta disagree with the general view about Jimmy Smith yesterday... he seemed to think that being Crawley's top scorer at this stage of the season, means that he is the new Harry Kane... and entitles him to stand around in the opposition area waiting for the ball to arrive at his feet and moan like stink when it doesn't... meanwhile leaving his mates to fill in the gap that he has left behind.
I suspect we might find it easier playing away from home because we are under less pressure to come out and play and a breaking game might suit us better than having to get around or through the opposition.

Good post, lots of good points made. No thanks to Edinburgh though. Last two jobs at Gillingham and Northampton has been massive flops and left both clubs in the mire after spending a fair bit of cash.
