Do you think there's any substance in this from the realEFL? Bradford in for both Nichols and Nadesan? Seems unlikely.
Although fees would be involved, if Bradford have some dosh to spare both players would be reasonable targets. Also, a new manager sometimes triggers a player merry-go-round which might be a plus or minus. Losing two players who I regard as key players ought only happen if replacing with equivalent or better. It takes a while for new players to adapt and I question whether that should be risked in view of our relegation fight.
I can't see the owners undermining Etherington by selling out best two strikers five minutes after he's taken the job. Unless he's told them 'well, there's these two kids in the Peterborough academy who are going to be the new Messi and Ronaldo, we can sign them up!'
Nadesan signed a new contract. He’ll have a super high buyout and will not be worth it for them. Nichols on the other hand, maybe? Why would he go there though. Probably another gossip rag. Thought Nichols was meant to be going to Sunderland or some crap a season ago
true, but we don’t know who Matt has his eye on in the window. We also still have last seasons top scorer who seems (at least to me) hungry to play and score.

Yes I remember a certain poster on here telling us it was definitely happening.
I wouldn't read much into this. Nichols' contract runs out at the end of the season and there is a chance that interest from other clubs could be what the hierachy needs in order to get a new one sorted if they feel he is worth keeping on beyond this season. The thing is would we be able to get someone as good or better than him? I feel that definitely is possible, and must admit Nichols has been very poor in the last couple of matches.
As for Nadesan, he has recently been on a very good run (scored 6 in 6 games last month I think) which is always likely to get scouts alerted. However I think there's pretty much no chance he would leave us for Bradford at the moment especially as he would likely struggle to get game time up there and I've always got the feeling with him that he wants to be the no.1 striker wherever he plays. Also I must admit I really can't see either player wanting to move up north at the moment.
I had a look at the list of players out of contract at the end of the season and here it is:
Nichols (has a 1 year option) Tsaroulla (also has 1 year option) Ransom Shubbar Ludwig (also has 1 year option) Adebowale Kowalczyk Khaleel Kevser-Junior Silva Kastradi Gallagher Al-Hussaini Marshall
I think there's only at the most 5 I would keep on and a lot of those I feel should be moved on ASAP if we can to cut costs as they are not going to be anywhere near the first team in the near future. Don't know what everyone else is thinking though
All our players are for sale if the price is right.
ME will have his own ideas on players and some freeing up of budget will be needed. The B team doesn't seem to have got much momentum and the Hastings game showed the back up players are not what is needed for a play off push next season.
Starting now gives ME two windows to work in before next season.

Of those players we definitely need to keep Nichols and Nadesan (especially as I don't think Kwesi will be back), Ludwig, Ransom and Tsaroulla. These last three are all young, talented and have loads of potential, and if they departed it would leave us with a rather elderly defence . Adebowale I think has looked decent when he's played. The rest (apart from Marshall) haven't got anywhere near the first team, and I don't see the point of keeping them around just for the occasional B team or SSC match. Let them leave and go and have an actual football career somewhere.
Of course, this is just my take on it and I know ME will have his own ideas. But the club need to take up the options on Nichols, Tsaroulla and Ludwig asap. A lot of our players are here on loan and will be gone come the summer. KB was definitely not looking to the future when he brought them all in. Definite short termism from KB - I reckon he and the owners both thought we would get promoted this season. Hopefully ME is a touch more realistic.
The curious thing of trying to get Nichols and Telford playing well together is the great Catch 22 of Crawley at the moment. Lewis got a few decent games out of Telford just before he went but Nichols at the same time was having his worst, most ineffective games of the season.
