I agree and I don't know. Agree sale of Nichols. Don't know i.e. what is the club NOT telling us that's more concerning. BUT even if the club said we are multi-millionaire, we are gonna buy the entire Arsenal squad would anyone believe them?
Well I don't think you sell one of your best players mid season to a relegation rival if you have lots of money. This would suggest the opposite.
It's possible that the money has run out but I'm not entirely convinced that's true, especially seeing as Preston has gone on record to say that there's money available in January. Nichols was probably one of the most saleable assets and whilst I'm obviously not in a position to comment on his performances this season, I'm guessing that as part of the team's underperformance this season compared to last, some of his performance metrics have reduced and in that scenario it would be entirely on brand for a stats based set-up like Wagmi to look to cash in if they get a chance. Add to that, if you put that £60k in to the transfer kitty for the 2nd half of the season it means that you can pick up a Champ or L1 bench warmer on a free and offer that player £120k a year more than Nichols was on without increasing the budget for this season and as good as Nichols probably was, that sort of money probably gets you an upgrade.
