Even with Steve AWOL, there's still a lot of Wagmi apologists on here.
The forum is such a doom-mongers paradise at the moment that its hard to know why we all come on here!
The optimists amongst us us aren't numerous but I think there are more in the silent majority than post here albeit not heard.
I for one have missed the sensible (and often vilified posts) from Steve who looks to balance the views made with little support but I also must admit I do like the cut and thrust of the views shown by many of you although some do seem to be anti change for the sake of it which has resulted in greater change than any of us wanted or expected.
I chatted to Steve a few times in Redz and we agreed and disagreed there as well as here but I don't doubt his support for the team.
I don't get the need to vilify each other. Disagree, be passionate but likening someone to a Quisling because they hold a different view (and asks you where the info you are spouting comes from beyond "Everyone knows") is beyond me.
My personal view is that some of the members of wagmi need to keep stum for a while and apart from nipping some of the more outlandish stories in the bud and when they appoint a manager so do Wagmi especially when it comes to grandiose schemes for the club.
I am getting worried that the 2nd best owners we have had may have done the same as the best and sold us too people to clever to understand how dumb they are acting.
Ha this is like reading your obituaries while still alive!
First off many thanks Jim and Weststander for your kind words, look forward to chewing the cud with you Jim in Redz again soon enough, where I find the discussions tend to be a bit more grounded and realistic than all the excitable and doom laden stuff that dominates online. Think I'm firmly in club historian Mick Fox's camp these days that the negativity of impersonal social media is all-consuming and doesn't tend to reflect the best of us as fans.
Inevitably you get sucked into it all though, sadly, which is why I'll limit myself when and until I have something upbeat and positive to say. At the moment all I can see is a very difficult situation where, if indeed the plan is to expel Wagmi as owners from the club, it's hard to see any scenarios how that can happen without a devastating impact on the playing side and a return to non-league. But here's me writing depressing stuff online again - and I don't go to football and support my club to do that, it's meant to be fun and entertaining, otherwise what's the point?
