I knew some time ago that Dermot had taken his own life, in fact a few newspaper articles at the time of his passing alluded to the factr he had because he felt let down by the sport which he'd given so much too. I think he knew that sackings were part and parcel of football management but all too often people like Dermot get sacked and then they find a way to continue givign to the game through Scouting or other such roles. It seems no-one seemed to bother to do that with Dermot with tragic consequences.

This is terrible news and a shock, such a good man.
Doesn't that just show the whole ethos at non league is different to the Premier League, you'd never catch a Premier League team offering free tickets on the off chance that someone with mental health issues may benefit despite the millions upon millions of pounds they have (unless they were contractually obliged to by sponsors etc.)
