Not exactly a major signing but we'll need a squad of players if we're to put up any sort of show next season. This Jamie Vardy Academy, does anyone know if it's an invitation thing or do you just turn up with a pair of boots and your own orange?
No doubt there will be a queue of 'supporters' lining up to slag the club for signing a non league player, can I suggest to you all that you look on the BBC website that lists all of the may signings, there are a hell of a lot of non leaguers being signed so if you want to run CTFC down then you're running a lot of other clubs down as well
Just what I said over the weekend, some gems in non league and lots being signed by other clubs, although this chap a bit lower down the pyramid but he seems to score goals at that level as well. Welcome Ashley, hopefully he can provide some service for our new goalscorers as well?

This was a quote from Vardy in the paper "England striker Vardy started his academy with the aim of helping non-league players break into the EFL or Premier League.
He said: “I don’t have to do any of it but I know what I had to do to get to where I am and, playing in non-league, I was playing against players who should have had pro clubs.”
Hendon Fan here thought I show you some of the goals he has scored in the 2017/18 season. (by pressing link will take you straight to his goals)
Great player. Personally think he will do well for you
Doesn't score tap ins then?!! Thanks for taking the time to put that together. looks a decent player at that level hopefully he can step up that little bit and hope he is given a decent chance. Looking forward to seeing him play.
These are the kind of players we have to gamble on in our position, much less of a gamble bringing in a young player from non league than bringing in someone from abroad like the Dutch players we've signed. Most are unlikely to come off, but if one or two hit the ground running it can be very lucrative for us.
Looks like a decent player from clips supplied Mr Hendon Fan. Time will tell if he can make the step up to L2 but we will only know if HK gives him a run in the team. Like Camara (whose work ethic I admire) another decent prospect.
Welcome Mickf. Thought you might like to see the kind of player you're getting.
Hope you dont mind but thought I post another one.
92 mins gone with the score 3-3 with one minute of the allotted injury time left to play against Worthing.
Then he pops up with this classy finish.
Sure I speak for all Hendon fans & wish the lad every success at Crawley.
Thanks, he certainly looks a decent finisher, something we never really had last season apart from our loan from Charlton on occasions. Look forward to seeing him play. As for RRR and his short term contracts, so we find a player and just give him a year contract and he turns out to be a gem, bye bye at seasons end and we get nothing. At least on a sensible 2 year deal he has time to develop and if he turns into a Vardy and he wants to move on up we should also be compensated. Key is the "sensible" contract I guess, which is up to Selim.

yes sensible shorter and/or not throwing silly money at these unproven players. I wish him well and hope it comes off but its a big step up.
