You do still wonder how they will sustain league football....but more interestingly I wonder why we struggle to do just that.....even with Londons finest a short hop away!!
Spending a small fortune of their owners money may help sustain them league football?!! "London's finest" is our biggest problem!
After a bit of Thadenomics, I've come to the conclusion that the time is fast approaching when football club owners would be better off to budget for not having to deal with a live crowd... take the TV & associated revenues, spend it on the team and not bother with all of the other costly issues.

Four Forest Green players have been released including a certain Rhys Murphy, who has been told that he can train with the FG academy players while he finds a new club, I wonder ...........

I thought he linked very well with Matt Harrold in the games they played together the season before last. Last season was a bit different because I don't think that DD used him in the same way with Collins. We have seen that he knows where the goal is although I think Alain posted in another thread that he was injured, possibly long term. Maybe not if that is so about training with the academy.

i dont believe RM is good enough to mount a league one challenge he may though help rebalance the shambolic defending i can see ahead next season.

He has a record of 25 goals from 78 League 2 appearances, sounds as though his record is as good as most L2 strikers to me
Actually I've just had a look at one other player, a Mr James Collins, Murphy has 25 in 78 at a goal every 3.12 games against Collins who has 76 in 217 at 2.85, not an earth shattering difference

Indeed - if it was goals from open play there may be little in it.
He didn't show much last season to be honest, although it wasn't an easy task playing second fiddle and in a team that was struggling. I can't believe what they have replaced Collins with! And they kid us that it was a huge signing...well I guess huge is not a complete lie. Where are the goals coming from?

pretty much every midfielder under performed last year, if they perform to even 75% of their ability we have plenty of goals in the likes of Cox, Payne Enzio etc, i would rather have a team that score goals from all over the park than one reliant on 1 player

Hmmm....Payne scored 1 goal all season and that was a 35 yard free kick. Enzio (one of my favourite players) is never goIng to be a finisher. Cox - is capable of goals, however looking at the lineups in pre-season and how he is being played with "the reserves" I wonder how much he will feature. Roberts could chip in with a few, mainly wonder goals. I don't see many goals from midfield myself. I could be wrong.
I'm loving your optimism that the underperforming players are going to turn it around and start banging in the goals left right and center this season. In my mind we were desperately short up front and losing Collins we needed at least two new strikers. Time will tell once we get into the season.

i'm not really sure why you are even on here all you have done in your brief tenure here is belittle the team and been a doom monger
I am more than confident that our squad have enough to stay in the league frankly it's the worst league 2 in a number of years, yes we will need to keep Harrold fit which is easier said than done but alongside Camera i feel they can trouble most team in the league

It would be a positive move if Rhys Murphy comes to the club. He knows it well having been here for two spells already, and he's a local lad so I doubt he would be completely against it. It would give us another option in attack, in terms of playing style, hope it happens.
As a fan who pays his money I have every right to comment on the mistakes being made. There are plenty of fans that feel the same as me. Just read through your posts and you constantly contradict yourself.
Quote from you after Collins was sold - "we will rely on Camera and sicknote to keep us up, i fear the money has all dried up and Erin will be taking us back to non league never to return to the Football league
for all the improvements off the field we have gone backwards on it since he came in or is this all part of this supposed 8 year plan to be in the Championship which sounds more laughable now than it did then".
Loads more posts from yourself saying it's a joke that we have just sicknote and Camara now Collins has left! I'm glad you are positive at the moment, after previously being negative. But I don't know what gives you the right to criticise me for highlighting some of the same issues you have done!! Embarrassing!
