I just want to thank you for whatever u did with Karlan Grant(he has dropped Ahearne from his name).
He was thrown into 1st team action as a 17 year old and it didnt work out and dented his confidence for a few years, but since he returned after his loan with you last season he is a different player.
So on behalf of all Charlton fans whatever you did to him last season thank you.
We were rather hoping that we would have him again for this season but your striker got injured and Karlan started putting the ball in the net - added a few £'s to his valuation now. Have you got anymore that need a new lease of life - a centre half for next weekend - bloody transfer window
Pleases he’s doing well for your lot, very talented player, fast direct and an eye for goal, not surprised he’s picked up where he left off with us last season.

It was a weird one. We got him from your boys with a warning that he couldn't finish. Pretty much from the first game he showed that wasn't true, he bent in numerous goals from outside the box. Was clearly many levels above other players in League Two, and we were all a little confused as to why we'd been allowed to have him when he appeared more than good enough for Charlton. Whatever his problem was appears to have just been in his head as he's merely doing for you what he did for us.
If he gets a bit rusty and you need us to restart him for you again, we'll be happy to help.
I was saying to Alexis Sanchez the other day.. "sometimes a player just needs a change of environment"...
Seriously, we owe the lad far more than he ever owes us & i even think we are feeling the benefit this season with our own Pooch using KG as an inspirational role-model..!

Completely agree KAG or KG was a fantastic loanee for CTFC a player we badly needed at the time and will surely go on to at least Championship level football
I hope common sense prevails and he goes 1 step at a time.
A talented player, but nowhere near Premier League level....he should try and get some football under his belt in the Championship or the SPL which is a similar level. A prolonged spell sat on the bench somewhere probably won't help his career.

Maybe that's what Huddersfield are thinking. They're almost certainly going down so they're building their squad for a go at the Championship next year. Perhaps loan him back to Charlton (or us!) for the rest of the season then have him around for next year. Still can't believe Charlton gave him to us when he was their best player and they just didn't realise it. Mad fellas.
A great case study for Selim to entice clubs to send us their young talent who need a run in the league.
When we played Charlton in the EFL thin-end-of-a-hijack trophy, he stood out (with about 3 shots) but not by much, they actually had a few good prospects & seemed to be feeding them on raw protein.

Exactly Thad, that’s why I’m hoping selim is looking for a loan player. it could change our run of results like Karlan did with his goals and playmaking. Maybe another winger?
