In regard to swapping players around. Structure wise there was a problem on the right side of our defence. It's easy to blame the right back but when there is a constant one in one situation with the best will in the world he will get beat sometimes. We seemed to have sorted it out a bit in the second half but in my opinion it was shape more than players that needed to change.
In Coifees short time here Francome has been right back, right wide, central midfield, left wide, Young right back, wide right, Gambin left wide, right wide, Camara upfront, midfield, , Doherty and Maguire alternate left backs and McNerney in and out of back four, none really caused by injuries or suspensions for me that's to much tinkering.
Yesterday we did have injuries and had played two games plus extra time but I do think Coifee does do a lot of tinkering and I cannot understand why he plays Gambin on the right where we get little from him, when he first came in the side he played on he's natural left side and I thought he looked a class act.
You say that but Gambin had our best shot at goal from cutting in from the right and taking the shot with his left foot. He did that a few times, i think he's effective from both sides.

Palmer will come back in.

It’s definitely a shape problem, both our full backs are constantly 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 because our wide men don’t track back effectively. We got away with it yesterday but not against Southend or MK Dons. The system has to change otherwise we will always be weak down the sides.
Family matters meant i missed this great result... interesting that our best home wins happen when we play like the away side... maybe we should try that in away games..?

No, he's saying what he's doing isn't working. I think GC needs to decide what each player's best position is, then play them there and keep them there.
If only GC could get him to kick with his left foot he would be a much better player but almost every time he has to get it on his right foot which does get us into trouble at times.

To be fair, he can be pretty effective improvising playing a pass with the outside of the foot.

As he was with the pass to Young which resulted in the Bulman goal on saturday

Reminds me of Billy Clarke. Similarly skilful, similarly one-footed. Of course if they were equally adept with both feet, they wouldn't be playing for Crawley Town.
