Didn't think Palmer did anything, I was expecting a free kick to us. We created more with 10 men but that was after Poleon went off. Bulman imo dived. Today was all about the referee.
I thought we were getting the free kick, the last thing I expected was Palmer to be sent off, I don’t know what Palmer said to their player, but I can completely understand why he would be disgusted at that big lump of a player going down like he’d been shot when he’s built like a brick shthouse.
Dodgiest match I’ve ever seen. Why were the pre match betting markets making an abysmal Cobblers team favourites for this match given their record this season and our home record? Then three of the most incomprehensible decisions in a row by an official you will ever see?
First half there was nothing in it, second half the referee made sure that there was with a string of poor decisions.
Firstly a dubious penalty, then a dubious sending off. Looked like an innocuous coming together, Palmer may have shoved into him, but their player made a real meal out of it. Then the referee rounded it off by denying us a penalty/ free kick on the edge of the box when we were through on goal.
Real shame that these decisions decided the game, thought we gave it a good go in the second half and deserved a point at least.
On another day we’d have got at least a point.
The Bulman incident was a free kick and sending off as he clearly took him from behind.

If Bulman dived why didn't he take another step and go for a penalty? It was a clear foul and sending off I am baffled and bemused by the most inept and ridiculous refereeing display I can recall Incompetence alone is unacceptable but the repeated and inexplicable bias is beyond the pale The records show that we lost to Northampton,; the reality is that a fool orchestrated an unfunny farce Seriously, that was unbelievable
I mentioned a few weeks back that if we begin to stutter at home, paired with our inability to get anything away, then we could begin to start looking over our shoulders.
Anything less than a decent Christmas holiday period in terms of points....then start looking over your shoulders.
What a shame. If ever a potentially good game was spoilt by a referees interpretation of events.
However what concerns me more is how we reacted to going one nil down and losing Mr Palmer. Why oh why did we just lump balls up to probably the smallest attackers in the football league. A must for the January window is a tall attacker to cover for Ollie.

Anyone else see bottle thrown at ref from West stand when the clown walked off post-match? Ref was so bad its no wonder fans were asking is he a cheat? At one point in the game it looked like stewards were holding a fan or two back in the West stand, such were supporters insensed by the appauling officials decisions. I wonder if ref just been promoted and never ref'd at this level. He was dreadful. I feel cheated of a game of football. True we werent great but even one down there was time ti claw a goal back but the clown in the middle spoilt the game.
MOM Camara he ran and worked hard. Alongside Joe Mc looked jaded and off the pace, I thought Bulman was no better and ducked challenges once or twice possibly caught in two minds...that somewhat not helped by us defending with often two lines and defensive equipped players sat too deep. Midfield AWOL again. We did have a go at them as the game slipped away but really the ref had destroyed the game long before that. Yes we were often poor but without any doubt that was Crawley 0 Match Officials 1

Think you should say a replacement for Palmer he will go in the January transfer window.
If Palmer goes we need to accept that the owners may have given up any hope and are cashing in Not sure who would want to buy the club going forward - perhaps Harry and sidekick but cant think who would want us !!

It was bad enough losing Palmer recently, but that red card today (which i hope the club will appeal against) will cost us again. I hope the video recording from today is available soon.
For once, nope. Normally I’d say that they have a tough job and that they know the laws and are usually right, whereas fans don’t. But today? No. Really couldn’t believe some of what I saw today.
What got me most was the penalty - not because I necessarily disagreed with the decision vehemently, but what was the delay all about? It was as if he was trying to play an advantage - on a penalty decision when the ball had gone BACKWARDS!!! What “advantage” was he waiting for?! Free shot at goal from 12 yards with only the keeper on his line to beat...or the ball at someone’s feet 25 yards out with a packed penalty area in front...hmmm.
Either that or he was influenced by the away fans appealing.

I thought instantly it was the away fans appeal. The timing of the decision seemed to suggest that.
