Disappointing loss away from home again, got to start picking up points away from home here and there otherwise it puts extra pressure on the home games.
Our form has crashed and i am not sure if this manager is the answer.
There is no evidence he has improved us in his time with the club and you could make a case he has made us worse.
That’s a bit harsh. My criticism is the very same squad that has at times looked bloody good st home can’t buy a point on the road. And now that same squad is struggling at home. A lack of motivation??? I don’t know......but it needs sorting sharp.
Fair comments, glad you mention the previous home form because during that run people were talking playoffs and Cioffi was a great coach and better than Kewell etc etc. Not sure where it’s gone wrong since Exeter’s equaliser, but 6 successive defeats on the road is not good, particularly now with the home form slipping, but players don’t become bad players overnight, and I would challenge those calling for Cioffi to go to reread their own posts after the victory over Newport.
My theory is Cioffi started ok but he was using the structure and pattern the players were used to. That has slowly eroded to the point we have no pattern or structure. It suggests to me he is taking us backwards our defence was never great but its now woeful 19 goals i six games or 720 minutes OUtside a couple of Mexican waves early on Cioffi hasnt added anything. Lets be blunt L incoln away they fought like tigers. The last 6 games they have been unrecognizable to that match.

even if the owners agreed they made a mistake they cant afford to shift Gabby after they gave him a riddiculous long contract for someone unproven. I think we are stuck with him.

Truth is there have only been three Italian managers in league two and all have taken their teams to relegation.
thats an alarming fact HOWEVER at least this season its impossible we wont be relegated.
When are you going to stop with this 'impossible' stupidity? if we keep on the way we are then relegation is as distinct a possibility as it is a mathematical one
All for being positive but facts are facts last five league games we have won 1 and lost 4 conceded 13 and scored 4. Even the 3 - 0 win v Crewe we were mullered for most of the game.
The truth is the football we are playing now is awful we arent trying to play football just long balls, we cant score and we def can not able to defend.
Haven't been able to get down there since Exeter. We played very well then and in the previous game against Newport and it looked quite promising under the new regime - playing some good football. Now - with largely the same players - we seem to be really struggling. Sorry - I know I'm just stating the obvious, but it's very frustrating.

allthis alarmest it can happen FFS youve no doubt seen us play and against awful opposition the std is awful and we DO have players capable and history shows we can pull it outta bag when required. Are win loss ratio and given the poor teams by league std and position of remaining fixtures we will stay up ive no doubt on that. If club has same attitude and approach we will wind down in last month and be looking at sysyem.players etc ready for next season long before it starts.
Maybe the run of games against the better sides hit confidence? I know the loss of Morais has made a difference and the suspension of Palmer definitely will hurt.
Although I have my negative thoughts about GC his team selection and tactics, we should consider senior players such as Morais, Vincelot, Connolly, Palmer Young,Randall etc are not playing for various reasons but were in the team when we had our good spell is a reason for our lack of form.

Smith too, I think that is a fair point Eltel, we had a decent balance & a bit of belief that has been eroded.
