Played 22 , 26 points. I don’t want to repeat myself but Jeez, it’s looking gloomy. I said it three weeks ago,.....and my worse fears are coming true. Our dodgy Christmas period is well under way and we are now three defeats from a relegation spot.

On another day we woodve beaten Carlisle. We wont lose every game. We will win a few and enough to stay up. No need to panic there are teams worse than Crawley. Some like Morecambe arent even in the relegation zone. A little dabble in the January Sales window and all is well. Carlisle are one win off the play off but were they that much better overall 90mins today, I dont think so. We are staying up. Its a certainty.
So according to Cioffi's interview we were outstanding, we dominated, had more shots and we should complain to the FA!!
Then I looked at the BBC website to see that actually Carlisle had more possession, more shots (11 shots to 6 with 8 to 5 on target) and scored more goals.
Same old Crawley, same old excuses.
Honestly, when it comes to talking crap he is well up there on the John Gregory scale.
Out of all the cups at the first time of asking (so players won't be "tired") and looking at a relegation struggle.
Let's hope we have some reinforcements lined up for the transfer window.

He has already stated in the Observer that "we don't need any additions to succeed" so I wouldn't hold your breath regarding squad strengthening.
Can we afford any new players in the transfer window, there are some I think we should ship out but I dough anyone would want them so I think we are stuck with what we have.

I have had serious concerns for our outlook this season for some time, but yesterday cemented that we are in real peril.
We looked ok for spells but it resorted to huffing and puffing in the second half. The foul for the penalty was an act of gross stupidity by Francomb as the player was going away from goal
Their first goal was a bit fortuitous and the third was a class strike; but how was their player unmarked in that position?
I can't see many - if any - players coming in January and with key absentees we face a rocky road ahead with more time spent looking in the rear view mirror than forwards If we go down we will never come back into the Football League so there is plenty at stake. I hope all concerned realise the magnitude of our situation if the rot isn't stopped pronto
The last paragraph of the last post is absolutely spot on.In a nutshell.
i agree as ive said before if we are relegated we will go to the wall and fold and wont even sustain crowds like Hereford or reform like Halifax. BUT this season we are safe. The quality is do dire that even the duds we have can muster up enough points. We will never go up either as the owners have no b@lls of ambition beyond smoking pipes whilst dreaming and spouting bullsh1t, BUT we need be grateful we didnt vanish a few years back. We have another quality keeper. A repeat of history? Rest assured though more spin than the politicians will draw in enough STH next season for more repeats than the BBC.
If (next season and beyond) we are fighting relegation then fans had better start getting behind the club because away fans calling the Broadfield a Library is becoming an embarressment. Where is Ross and Co. These days? We need to improve the vocal support and not leave it to same old few. I SICK OF SEEING CHEKSKI SCARVES...WEST HAMLET HATS PAL@RSE SHIRTS and MANURE BAGS and the club need stop all this makes me angry that the club allow this. Would Rottenham have a Arsewhole fan in their end or Bristol Sh1ty a Rovers in their end no so why does Crawley allow this. Badcenough Newtport took the pee.
I saw Morais after the game yesterday. I'm not sure how he did it, but he badly injured the middle finger on his right (I think) hand. He says it a 3 month injury, so possibly well in to February before we see him I think. As for the game, if Poleon hadn't hestitated early in the 2nd half, and Grego-Cox had got a better connection near the end then a draw or better was there to be had. Hopefully by the time I see us again (at Mansfield) we'll have picked up some points. Cambridge and Cheltenham are "must not lose" games I think. Anything from Newport, Satanage and Colchester would be a bonus.

Having looked at it Carlisle first goal is hand ball. The second from a penalty is vert soft.
All that said we have no composure dominance or self beif at home Away from home we are a million miles from a result ..we are bottom of the away form league. We lack structure in our play, skil in execution or belief ..thats why you get the bad luck and decisions.
First half we played well, got ourselves in front and then Carlisle got themselves back in the game with a fortuitous goal with the aid of a deflection, then we give away a penalty, but restore parity at half time, a good entertaining half.
Second half, what proved to be the turning point was Poleon’s miss when through on goal, god knows why he decided to come inside and beat a man when you’d have thought that after scoring 2 goals he’d have the confidence to just hit it, he could even have taken a touch and hit it, if we’d have gone ahead at 3-2 it would have been a different game, as it happened they score a well worked goal and see out the game comfortably.
First half good, second half poor we ran out of ideas.

Handball - he also was offside
That - and a second offside shortly after which was missed made me believe the officials weren't much better than last weeks,
The penalty didn't look one from my view - but others have called it. Whatever way you look at it Francomb was nuts to make the challenge.
Silly errors cost us lots of points - and confidence

the manager shouldve had the balls to sub Poleon immediately he failed to get a shot in was turning point he let everyone down. Anyone lacking confidence after scoring twice should NEVER play for the club again. NEVER!!!!

Like the last home game against Northampton, some questionable decisions, but the highlights are inconclusive.
