It does, there was clearly some sort of falling out... without knowing the details, the superficial circumstances suggest Vincelot had some grounds to be disgruntled at his treatment & the episode looks like a mishandled opportunity.
As others have pointed out, this type of scenario has been played out before and I for one would question whether the individual players are really the problem???
If a player is being disruptive or a bad influence behind the scenes, I can understand that you move him on... But in this instance the guy had already put the team first on many occasions by playing out of position & IMHO had earned an opportunity to start in his natural role.
Honestly, this is a small part of the jigsaw - many questions exist.
1. The Chairman/owner is no longer around. Why is that,?
2. The club needed about £1m a year of subsidy last time we saw the accounts....the playing budget has been increased, who is funding this?
3. Who is running the football side of the club, what skills do they have, are the necessary O&D approvals in place, and what experience do the DOF and Manager have in EFL?
4. When Eren took over he said "It has always been a desire to apply my football philosophy in England" and "remember we are football people with an extensive network of contacts in the game". What contacts? What philosophy?
5. He also referred to "knowledge and experience I have accrued" - hard to reconcile that with the performance of the Turkish club, 4 relegations in 4 years, most under his presidency.
6. When he took over Eren said his goal was to take "Crawley Town to the Championship within eight to 10 years". On the day he took over we were 16th in L2, today we are 17th in L2, so what progress have we made?
Of course these are questions that CTSA are asking at board meetings, the obvious difficulty being the owner/patron/Chairman is never available.
So I would imagine paying off one of our top earners 5 months into a 2 year deal is but one piece of the jigsaw.

6 good questions for Selim there. Will you be at the fans forum?

I hope so.....however I work outside UK for 2 weeks in every 4 so lap of the gods a bit. However will also feed into the CTSA Supporter rep meeting next week.
Could understand any angst if we were talking about losing Morais but it’s Vincelot, a player who was underwhelming right from the get-go when a mistake he made could have cost us that opening day win at Cheltenham.
Should he be tried in midfield, maybe but Cioffi has him in training every day and decided to go another way, looks a standard football decision.
If anything the club should be praised for acting swiftly rather than letting a Dean Cox situation develop. Time to move on

Steve, we have a “Dean Cox situation” with Randall !!
Why is the club usually so coy about giving details on anything?
I'd love someone at the club to come up with a valid reason, which they won't of course, as to why a player who has so much experience and has rejoined a L1 club, can be ignored for selection to a side which is in freefall towards non league, there's either some serious disciplinary issue or management have lost all sense of reality
As for Randall, why is he still a Crawley 'player'?
It always makes me laugh when fans expect to know all the ins and outs of what's going on at the club - name one other club in the country that announces why a player has left upon a transfer? I'm sure there were many valid reasons as to why Vincelot didn't work out, but surely if he's not going to play, whatever the reason may be, then its better to get him off the books? We seem to have a breed of fans that seem to think they have the right to know everything going on at the club, and seem to take pleasure in slagging off every little thing the club does, or in this case doesn't do...
I can't agree with you, Vincelot came to CTFC from League 1, he's returning to League 1 but isn't good enough to play in League 2, meanwhile the club is hurtling towards non league and you don't think supporters have a right to know why a major asset was being and has been ignored? Like every supporter I have the right to complain about anything I don't agree with, that has nothing to do with "slagging off every little thing the club does"
I agree with TML, no point asking for us to judge an evidently decent midfielder as a makeshift centre-back... Having signed him, I would really have liked an opportunity to assess him in his natural role...
...but I guess that makes me an unreasonable whinger..?

i thought he did a better job in defence than Connolly. I wouldve been quite happy to have heard he was back replacing Connolly.

Vincelot did okay, essentially because he has a decent footy brain, but he was always at an instant disadvantage against any huge forwards who are built like outside khazi's...
Shrewsbury Town's manager is over the moon with his signing saying he never thought a player like Vincelot would come available so it looks like we have yet again shot ourselves in the foot.

As a supporter I don't need to know all the ins and outs of CTFC but when the club signs a (supposedly) good player, plays him (seemingly) out of position before he disappears without trace and goes to a higher league club then I think the club have a duty to say something about it.

Just checking Steve, you would be fine with the talented mister Morais starting the next dozen games at Centre-back...?

Sure, but we are in the middle of a window. Let’s hope we reach the same amicable solution as with Vincelot.
The reality is Kewell brought too many in and it was inevitable that some were going to end up being marginal to requirements. Hopefully the club can sort that but of course Randall will not want to financially lose out, it’s the same old problem
