Now all he has to do is find another idiot with more money than sense who is prepared to be insulted non stop while spending enormous chunks of their own resources for that very pleasure, oh the joys of being a football club owner ....... hopefully for his sake he will seek immediate psychological help for his inability to live without twatter
I've heard Notts are for sale with an extra bonus of meat and two veg thrown in (see the Twitter pics).
If they do go down (and it's looking likely) it will be the second time recently that a team with one of the biggest budgets has gone (Orient). Proof that throwing money at something is not the be all and end all of everything.

Notts County now looking directly into the fan, Paragon Interiors (Alan Hardy) have lent Notts County around £7m and are heading towards administration, if that happens then the administrators will be asking the club for repayment which will put them into administration as well, I just hope that we didn't let Boldewijn and Kewell go on a hire purchase basis or we'll get screwed as well
I had a few lively words with Begbies during our period of administration... basically i could not accept that certain personal "loans" were actually a club debt...?
This matter got a higher profile when the Glazers used a "leveraged buyout" to purchase Man Utd... as soon as they took control, the club had higher debts than most third world nations.
There needs to be greater clarity in this whole area...!

Now can we forget all this relegation talk please. Enjoy the rest of the season 'friendlies', county have ran outta bounty, down, simples a meercat could work that one out.
Now this made me smile. I was looking on there forum to try to understand what is happening to their club and amongst all the infighting i noticed an advert for a lottery to win £50K Targeted advertising ?
The whole thing looks increasingly like yet another vanity project for a narcissistic unstable individual (sounds kinda familiar)... but we have to query how it has ever been allowed to reach this stage.
Haven't the EFL supposedly introduced - over recent years - a series of curbs, measures, checks & balances... precisely designed to avert these extreme situations from reoccurring...?

But you are the one who keeps bringing it up ..... ?
p.s. You do know that TWO go down ?
(We all know that Arithmetic is a bit of a weak spot for you ... )
With this and some of our past ownership questions being dredged up in the Evans thread, the question I ask is why would anybody want to "invest" in a lower league club unless they had a personal attachment (such as Bruce W)? Constant scrutiny of how you spend many thousands of your own money, microscopic analysis of past failings, ridiculous condemnation if you choose to "just" throw in huge sums of money without actually watching the results week in week out - why do they bother, has anybody made any money from such an investment?

Absolutely 100% spot on, the way the owner/investors are treated is disgraceful and appalling, I often wonder when some of the 'supporters' abuse the owners that they actually have any idea what would happen if the owners got together and said "up yours, if you don't like how we spend OUR money then we'll take it away and spend it on ourselves, you and your clubs can go out of business", even then they'd probably still get the blame though
The word 'investment' certainly doesn't go with the concept of football club ownership
The last two posts actually highlight the thorny issue, namely...
...the blurred line between an individuals expenditure choices, for how they elect to spend - prudently or recklessly - their own personal disposable wealth...
...and the club discovering that it has suddenly acquired a large financial liability...!
ie. At what point does a 'gift' become a 'loan'...?
