I feel a bit indifferent towards the owners to be honest. Yes it’s great they are putting in their money into this club, buying a small L2 club is not a money maker at all, it’s more of lifestyle project if you like. I just wish they would be honest and not come out with spiel such as ‘Championship in 8 years’ when they took over when we can see by the quality of players, managers and money spent on the infrastructure that it looks VERY far away indeed. They raised the expectations...
They should just be honest and say something more realistic like “we will look to take the club to the next level with steady progress in and off the pitch with improvements every year” if that’s what they’re really doing.
but its their riddiculous target not backed up in many ways and I give you one example a punt of a manager!
Every team takes a "punt" on every manager they employ - who knows what success they will bring - one thing in common that they all have is at some point in the future they will either move on to another club by being targeted or sacked - that's the life of a manager - the days of Wenger or Fergusson are well and truly over.
Personally I think the club have done Ok appointing left field managers - at least we haven't seen any of the dross that move from club to club being sacked every few months.
The easiest thing is to get relegated, hardest is promotion which all clubs at the start of the season are setting their sights on. Who would have thought at the start of the season that Notts County would be in their position -
you cant seriously believe Gabby was first choice unless the piggy bank really was that empty or half full.
Lets give the guy some credit for at least keeping us on an even keel even if we would all like more - who wouldn't?
Getting Kewell was a master stroke and if he had remained loyal we would almost certainly be pushing for playoffs - nobody can blame the owner for that one.
Gabby who has had to pick up a deck of cards that were dealt face up in a poker game which gave him little chance of success is also to be credited for his effort if not always his tactical expertise - hopefully this will grow and we will reap benefits in the next few years assuming he stays.
So here's to Gabby getting better with experience and being thankful for what we have at the moment - look at Notts County and see where we could so easily be without the work of Gabby and Ziya Eren.
So stop the whinging, cheer on the team, eat up the food on offer and be thankful that Mr Eren is prepared to invest in us when most wouldn't.

Interesting juxtaposition of that comment, with this one..

Did not turn out to be a master stroke when Kewell went there...?
I do not believe Harry became a crap manager overnight (although he did not help himself at either club by his aloof approach, which comes over as arrogance), but then again i never felt Kevin Nolan had lost his touch 4 games into the season.
Maybe the big difference is us, we have more realistic aspirations & are prepared to let someone make mistakes, so long as they grow into the role at the same time.
Every single person who has supported the club should be thankfull there are people with spare cash willing to part with it for their benefit. I've always had an appreciation, sometimes grudgingly,of people who spend silly money on a club like Crawley .Even the Majeeds used their own money, dodgey or not, for a bit before they got out of their depth and totally fucked it all up. Then Paul Haywood rocked up and threw untold amounts into it before moving on. The one thing I would say about the above is they left the club in a position for someone else to take over.It was touch and go with the Majeeds, but the club came out of their stewardship in one piece, just, but still In one piece. So for our Turkish owners my message would be, keep throwing your millions at it for as long as you are happy to, but just make sure when you've had enough of it the club can be passed on in one piece for the next load of nutters to throw money at it. I will add this advice. If you are serious and in it for the long haul then serious money has to be used for a training ground and improving the stadium. The training ground would help attract new players and give the players the infracstructure to become better players. The stadium needs a new east stand and the South terrace needs to be raised for a better view. A few million should sort it. Sorry, but lets not give the Majeeds ANY credit here, in the days before we were almost liquidated, going under and starting again was a much more appealing option than their CVA being accepted, a CVA they then totally flounced the rules over and took a year to pay, thus hugely jeopardising our Conference status.
And don't forget it didn't go straight from them to Paul Hayward/Bruce Winfield, there was the "holding company" Prospect Estate holdings in-between, with Evans' father-in-law as one of the directors. That sort of inside job was the only type of party the Majeeds were ever going to sell to. For example, they were never going to sell to anyone put forward by or courted by the Trust, which straightaway tells you they didn't have the club's best interests at heart.
www.crawleytownfc.com/news/2019/february/4.2-ziya-eren-statement/ I suppose there have been references to the political & economic situation in Turkey, that he may feel go beyond the boundaries of football banter...? ...personally i feel that if it can impact the club, then it is fair comment.

Has any person on here any idea what the owner is on about with "hints of racism"? And how do you hint at it? Im at a loss. I think he needs to explain as Ive no idea what this reference is about. Left as it is does it say some fan/s are expressing racist views?
He concludes saying "There are still 15 games to play and anything is possible this season."...anything? We arent going anyway no promotion no relegation no cup games. Season over. Flat and all the transfer in and out reflect this. Has the language transfer confuded things here in translation perhops?
