Anyone else feel a bit indifferent to Newport's FA cup run? If it was pretty much any other club in our league I'd be pleased for them and would gladly watch the games if they were on TV. I just can't get behind Newport. Obviously we've had previous history with Newport during our conference days and I can remember about 10+ years ago a group of Newport fans causing trouble at Lewes of all places, then they had Wesley as a manager a few years back as well.

Having watched the game last night - they actually deserved the win - they were by far the better team on the night and scored two good goals - good luck to them against Manchester City its now a one off game - we know what it was like to be the underdog at Manchester United - and nearly pulled a miracle off with a replay.

Agree with this. Can't stand Newport - the club or their fans. Hopefully Man City will thrash them 12 - 0 and we can be done with this sudden media love-in with the sheep worriers.
Bet some of those City superstars have never played on anything like that surface on offer at Dave Parade.
Mike Flynn might even ask the groundsman to put the plough over it a few hours before kickoff.
I think it's a great ground and brings back many memories for me, the autumn potato harvest, the Battle of the Somme and Town Mead after a light shower .......
