We always took the scenic route, they preferred the motorway.
quite we constantly overplayed it. Gabby did nothing to influence play positively. Awful second half. Ironically it was our two 'best' players that messed up. Ollie missed a golden chance virtual open goal and Morris was wrongly positioned for the freekick that Oldham scored from to start the goal avalanche.
They won the battle of the subs, i thought Payne was performing well, not sure if he is injured. Bringing on the 9 for Oldham was very effective.
I wouldn't be too harsh on Palmer for his narrow miss, he did well to make the chance & Pooch did really brilliantly to be denied by a fantastic save.
Having gone a goal up they sat back & picked us off, but we made it easy for them by always going for one more pass. We need to put the ball into the danger area quicker.
We also desperately need a defensive midfielder as we are too open when the opposition break at pace.

Agree with all of that but I would add that our build up is far too slow when other teams attack us with pace and we looked like a team of individuals who had never met before, I would also start Willock in place of Camara next week, he runs down too many blind alleys and never makes the right run.

A solitary shot on target in ninety minutes sums our lot up.
Did I leave the stadium disappointed or frustrated? No, just bloody angry that the Incompetent Cioffi hasn’t the ability or knowledge on how to change a game plan.
If you don’t shoot at goal, then there is no way you’ll score and if you can’t defend then you’ll lose.
Cue Mr Stephen North to find positives from yet another feeble performance.

we are just going through the motions the players know we are safe and some know they'll be playing next season come what may thanks to silly length contracts.
Surprised Oldham are so far down the league as they have one or two decent players. The first half was a rather dull affair with neither team offering anything offensively.
Second half we had two good chances to score and took neither. The game at this level is all about getting your nose in front and clever free kick gave Oldham the lead...forced to push forward we left huge gaps at the back..
One huge postive however was the introduction of our new wonder boy from Manchester United. I am really looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team. Hopefully he will regnite Mr Palmer who is looking less potent than he was earlier than in the season..
One last point, I hope all the hyper negative characters on here come along to the forum on Monday and share their views in public. I will be there so please come and say hi...
What a load of rubbish this dire football we play is so boring Will not attract new support but only drive away the faithful. I counted one shot on goal andone corner The midfield is non existent what camera brings to the party Ijust don’t know does he know how to go forward!! We are so predictable how we play it’s so easy to Suss.us out . My patience is running out out on this Italian manager who does not seem to have a clue we are going backwards.
Very valid, the only times we looked dangerous were when we moved it quickly, we give opposition defences plenty of time to set themselves up.
We got a free kick 5 yards back from the corner of their area when we were chasing the game, the big guys went forward... but we did not sling it in, instead we fartarsed about & eventually lost it... just so frustrating.
Had a word with a sprightly looking Vic Marley after the match, he joked about giving Evans a call... well, I think he was joking...(?)
Very disappointed with what went on in the 2nd half. The subs we made were baffling. Payne was the kingpin in our midfield yet he was taken off. Gamblin always looks like he may do something which is more than can be said for most of the others, but he was subbed. Our inability to have a punt and shoot instead of fannying around is extremely frustrating. There was one example of Young who made a good dribble into the box and instead of having a poke made a poor pass sideways. Agree about what has been said about Sesay, I do like the cut of his jib. Oh well 3 points away next week should see us safe

Did he suggest you get the graffiti kit out 😉
That made me giggle Simon, i had actually forgotten most of the daft things i have been accused of over the years.
Vic was equally disappointed as myself with the lack of urgency & pride when we went behind, we have come to expect a better reaction, a bit more fight.
