we are just going through the motions the players know we are safe and some know they'll be playing next season come what may thanks to silly length contracts.
Get Steve Evans back now, he's available !!
Give it a rest, will you? Just for once, post something based in reality rather than the fantasy world you seem to reside in. We have no money. Evans won't come back, and not sure how may would actually welcome him back tbh.
It was an even first half, although the passing from both teams was questionable but there was nothing in it. I thought whoever gets the first goal will win and we missed two golden chances to take the lead in the second half from Ollie and Panuche. Although Oldham scored three - quick break for the first goal - brilliant finish to be fair, the second, another break away with a 3v2 overload and an easy finish, the third a spectacular strike - they weren't three goals better than us. You could see their confidence rise after their first and they started to knock the ball about well.
We kept being caught in possession and as others have said, we were too slow when we had the ball and didn't move the play fast enough. Chief sinner was Morais who kept asking for the ball and kept losing it.
There was a real lack of willingness to take on the man down the line to get a cross in - there were too many times the player checked, came back or passed sideways.
Although they won 3-0, it was fine margins - if we had scored first I am sure we would have won. Notwithstanding three goals, the back three played very well, I thought Panuche offers a lot in midfield with his endless energy, Sesay had a very good game but Ollie doesn't look as sharp as he was.
GBred, i am indebted to you as I was making the case that Pooch gets the most tackles in for us, never imagined he featured in the L2 list & i would guess the two above him have played more minutes too.
I stumbled upon a "top trump" style site which had Vincelot as our star... Just about wrong on every level...!
You are right Sons FC, it was small margins & despite his obvious class, Morais can take too much on, felt he was exposed once Payne had gone off.
Re. Evans: Haven't the Porkster & his gimp Raynor made a few disparaging remarks about our club & fans, since they buggered off for their pieces of silver...?

Still, onwards to next week.
GABRIELE CIOFFI'S RED ARMY!
I'm not normally one to see things with rose tinted glasses when we lose, but we didn't play that badly, first half was good, second half if Ollie scored THAT chance we probably go on and win. The scoreline looks bad, but if on another day we'd have won that game. We played rubbish against Crewe and won that game 3-0. We're mid table, these kind of things will happen.

if labour MPs can spin and spout constant changes Im sure Evans can. He could save this club from what looks like inevitable decline.

I think thads point was that he couldn’t give a shit about the club, he’s not coming so drop it

he has an ego to feed and thers are many managers wanting to manage and far fewer football league clubs.
Thankfully his ego will not allow the climb-down. GBred summed up my view quite concisely. I recall Rotherham fans going berserk after winning promotion & Raynor said "THAT is why we left Crawley...!" we really should have more self-esteem than to even consider allowing them to return.
If ever it was a possibility, then i would be compelled to reveal a sordid true story that would make Graham Rix ashamed...!

Could you just enlighten us on who exactly the "junior members" of the forum are, if you mean those most recently signed up and are posting total garbage this morning then I agree wholeheartedly that they ".. don't know what they're talking about"
