Coiffie is clueless and ...i still could not tell you what our style or pattern of play is after 2/3 of a season he has been in control.
Fair comment about style & pattern of play, would make it a bit easier to watch, if we felt the team were progressing in any aspect.
The other side of that coin is that our predictability also makes it so much easier for teams to work us out.
I get the impression they have learned to sit back, wait for us to overplay & make life awkward for ourselves, then see if they can pick us off via a quick break...(?)
Sesay had another very good game up until his mistake that led to ther goal, however he got up dusted himself off and clearly scared their 14 as he was replaced with the 22 soon after Sesay made him look silly on a few occasions
Willock was a joy to watch a real quality player and it looks a very good loan signing well done to Selim on this one
I thought we were the better team in both halves as did nearly everyone in the east stand area where i sit and was always going to be hard to break down a team 1 up from the first half who were clearly trying to keep 11 behind the ball to protect the lead
Young got a much deserved goal and it clearly mean't the world to him not sure why he gets so much hate when at the very least he actually cares about the club and the fans
Now the negative points
Palmer has already packed his bags and was bloody awful for 75 minutes he fails to win anything in the air, he had 2 glorious chances and missed the target on both occasions, he whinged constantly and as for Poleon he was also very poor but at least put a shift in but again doesn't get himself into the right positions to receive the ball from the midfield
Surely Mr Cioffi must start Camara and German if at least to see what they can bring to the table as quite frankly our front 2 are clearly done with the club
I know they are a hit comedy double act on Social Media, but have the two Princesses ever really clicked on the field...?
I am pretty certain that Poleons best spell was when Ollie was suspended, but have doubts if it was Poleon alongside him, when Ollie was banging them in...?
Another cracking result against a top team then 🙄
The season is petering out fast, with our top 10 budget we are just about managing to stay clear of danger. I heard our owner showed up today to....I wonder if he recognised any of the players.
Another summer where a good clear out is needed.
Still Stephen will surely be telling us how marvellous it all is....shame that his laryngitis was playing up at the forum when GC needed his support.

i agree the two p's in the pod have never performed well together and little p's best form was the spell when big p wasnt available.
We struggled to break down a hard working Macclesfield side fighting for their EFL status. Our Clueless manager still hasn't the ability or sufficient knowledge on how to change a style of play to actually win a game. Granted we gained point, but in all honesty, that felt like a loss.
Looking at the current EFL2 table, we have to play seven from the top nine (who I'm certain will want to win for promotion?).
Grimsby, in eleventh position could make a push to make the play offs.
Crewe, in 14th, is never a happy hunting ground for us,
We also have to play three that are currently in the bottom five, who will need to win to for EFL2 survival.
Are our lot up for the fight? I don't know. We struggle to score, constantly give away silly goals. I really fear the worst as I cant see where our next win will come from.
Cannot believe I watch the same matches as our manager as the last three home games have been pretty tedious. When was the last time an away keeper really had to earn his money? These days they don't even need to get their knees dirty. Willock I thought looked good for half an hour but faded away (I actually thought apart from their goal that Sesay did more for longer) and it was again left to DB to cover every blade of grass trying to keep us going. Somebody earlier said we were better side but where (not a view shared by my area of East Stand or from views expressed in REDZ)? After the first ten minutes they realised we had no real attacking threat and were the better side and it was only when they stupidly (for them) sat back 2nd half that we got back in the game without offering much threat. Our defence look fairly solid now but our forward line is a real problem as Palmer seems to have already backed his bags, can we offer Southend a BOGOF deal and throw in Poleon?

Cue Mr Stephen North !!!

and i think you kinda answer your own question...up for the fight? Well weve nothing to fight for at either end of the table. Que psf and er Manure youths...well tbh based on Matty's performance yesterday we might be better off just signing their whole young set up!

Once again you're talking absolute tripe through rose tinted glasses, nothing to fight for? look at the league table and you'll see every side still have 12 games to play, that's 36 points and 6 points clear of Port Vale and Yeovil, 9 clear of Macclesfield and 11 from Notts County isn't much of a safety zone, it seems as though you and Ollie Palmer are the only two who've started to pack up your bits of red and white for next season
I don't think he's been the same player since he came back from the injury lay off - which is a great shame as I think he is a skilful and talented player. He was the first player to be subbed at Northampton last week but if he is fully fit then it is a strange thing to leave him out of the squad altogether, especially with Gambin still missing. I hope we are not developing another Vincelot situation.

At least under HK we knew what we were trying to do, whether we liked it or thought it was a good idea or not. I'm not so sure we can say that at the moment, other than lumping long diagonal balls towards the corner flags. I thought we looked better when Pooch and ANG came on - at least that gave us some width and energy and ANG was trying to take people on and make things happen.
Another puzzle was why, when it was obvious that Francombe was not going to match their big number 10 in the air, did we not switch to let Joe take him? Their goal was embarrassingly easy and something that could be seen coming for a long time - they just had to get a decent cross in. Are we that wedded to the idea of shape or am I being naive here?
