Willock undoubtedly has quality, but a couple of times he carried the ball while constantly trying to spot a forward breakout from a colleague... which never arrived.
If we want to get the best from the lad, our players need to develop better habits & be prepared to gamble that he will find them if they charge into the spaces.
First half Macclesfield played the better football while we had the better chances (the goal apart, of course). They dominated the midfield and ran through us at will at times - just when you need Panuche, Jimmy Smith and Morias - and you could see their goal coming. Second half was very different - we started to compete and close down in midfield, stopped them running the game and they seemed content to sit in and try to take something from the game. Pretty much the whole of the second half was played in their half.
For their goal, as others have pointed out, Francombe shouldn't really have been marking Smith but the referee did seem to miss the blatant two handed push on Francombe by Smith to give him the room to make the header.
We were totally dominant in the second half without really looking like scoring - Big Ollie had his jersey pulled every single time he went for the ball and the referee missed it (or chose to ignore it) every single time.
Once again, the wide players frustratingly chose to turn inside or backwards instead of taking their man on and getting to the by-line to get a cross in but at least it worked once for Lewis and his shot looked to be going in anyway, regardless of the deflection.
Big Joe, Dallison and Francombe were rock solid again, Sesay continues to impress and improves with every game, Willock has the makings a star turn and Panuche, who others rightly say came on too late, was fantastic. We can't underestimate the amount of work he does and his break up play (which was very apparent against Swindon), is second to none. It transforms opposition midfields from running the game to spoiling their possession and making the game look messy, although it plays an important part in playing the game at our speed and tempo rather than theirs.
Big Ollie didn't look particularly match fit on Saturday and seemed to be huffing and puffing by half time - too much screen time perhaps.
Some Macclesfield fans felt it was a point gained for them rather than two dropped and although it was good to get the point, it could have been much better. We need more goals.

GABRIELLE CIOFFI'S RED ARMY!
Big Ollie was suffering from only having fed his big ego with a small slice on indulgence. A kick up the backside and a one way ticket to Southend Pier will do the trick.
