If this was a nothing story, why would it be in the news? Surley there are bigger clubs to make up stories about?!
Why is anything that's rumoured in a paper or online? to sell papers or is click bait of course
But why would they choose Crawley Town? Hate to break it to you but there are probably 90 bigger clubs in the football league to choose from which would get more attention

Location, location, location would have something to do with it and whatever crowds we currently attract there is much potential. Being located in a populous area with lots of clubs is a curse but could also be an attraction to somebody who thinks they can turn around our fortunes. We have proven we can attract "reasonable" crowds for the big occasion and somebody with money and an ego might think they can provide the magic formula?

I see the Argus is running a story today about ZE being willing to sell the club and that there is 'interest in China', the Argus adds "Eren would cover most of his outlay should he receive an offer in the region of £7m, but that asking price is seen by experts as optimistic"
I can't believe that he's coughed up £7m, that seems rather OTT, but the original purchase price would be included, I wonder what that purchase price was .... whatever it was if £7m is correct then it just goes to show how bloody ungrateful the people are who slag ZE off are
It's very odd. I was told some months ago that there was someone interested in the club but they were told the price was £7m. They weren't prepared to pay that amount for what they see as something that has few assets. It looked like an attempt by ZE to over inflate the price so that he could recover his money.
Then lo and behold there is another story from another source with the £7m figure in it and then ZE is suggesting £7m in another article.
Looks like to me there is something in it - maybe even a bit of bartering to make a sale come through from a preferred source (the original asker)
I'm with the original bidder- I love this football club but £7m is just crazy money. Especially when you consider that to stand still you need to be prepared to lose another £1m a season. And whilst you might get a season where you do very well even with that level of investment you are only one season away from a relegation - as many clubs in the PL are finding out

Spot on Ant. He has worked out what he needs to recover his spend so far and if he gets it he will move on rather than put in £1m a season to stand still. Maybe more if we can't keep delivering player/manager sales.

All will be revealed soon thanks to my cunning plan, I have made three applications, under three different names of course, for a food concession at the ground next season, the first is for a Turkish Delight outlet, the second for an egg fried rice stand and a third, to cover all likely bases, for a blini concession
I will be waiting at my letterbox with great excitement
