Only 18 points from the play offs. If we win all our games and everyone above us loses all theirs (even when they're playing each other), it could still be a good season.
Finally forced myself to watch the highlights. The long kick from the Morecambe goalkeeper almost caught us out at the start. Maybe it is something we could try. Not every time though. Teams are so used to us building slowly from the back. Lets mix it up a bit. The goal came from sesay not wanting to make a challenge. Poor play.

We scored a goal against Morecambe in the home fixture doing just that, it’s certainly worth trying that 2 or 3 times a game, more likely to lead to a goal than playing it out from the back.
We're awful at trying to play out from the back. We were hopeless under HK and still can't do it now under GC. I wonder why we continue with it when it's clearly not working for us? Too many sideways passes, or punting it back to Morris, putting him under unnecessary pressure. More often than not the midfield lose possession anyway. And if we do break away down the wing and someone puts a ball into the box, there's no one there to receive it. Our players seem to have the speed of a roadsweeper.

I agree although i do not understand why our players appear to have the speed of a roadsweeper. I am sure that we have some fast players, is it that they are waiting for the sideways pass? We need to get the ball forward quicker.

Absolutely. How many times have we seen Young or Gambin for example burst down the wing, put a cross into the box, and there's no one to get on the end of it? Palmer is not fast enough, Camara should be , but he often seems scared to push forward too far. We really miss Jimmy Smith - that guy knows how to get forward AND have a shot.
We need to learn how to attack, that aspect of our play seems to be disappearing. We seem content just to have possession, and pass the ball around amongst ourselves endlessly/needlessly, until we give the ball away, and the oppo scream forward and inevitably score. Do we ever learn from that? It seems not.
