I agree he dived in the box looking for a pen when he should have shot.
I suspect the diving if any was in reaction to FGR who were shocking when anybody got near them and the useless referee in FGR green and black fell for it every time. It also looked as though their no.16 was trying to get Palmer booked first half for removing his shirt which him or the other centre back had tried to rip off his back in one of many illegal challenges. For once I agree with the manager that we played well but what is the point if you cannot score - a bit like watching the "carrier bags" playing a training game defence v attack just now at Wembley? Brilliant goal by DB and non stop running from him, how does he never get MOTM?
DB was my MOM showed up many players half his age with his endless energy. Goal of the Season from DB. Top draw.
I thought that the game summed up our season. Played well a times, did not take our chances, and gave away goals due to stupid mistakes. Glad to see that we were trying to push forward quicker, with Morris trying to start a quick attack. Palmer needs to keep on his feet .
At least we are safe. Thankfully the fixtures have fallen kindly...two easy games cidervil and knotted county. It will keep Gabby in his job. Lucky guy as his record is pathetic.
Why don't you stop this never ending crap? CTFC are total shit and both Notts County and Yeovil showed some guts and picked up a point today, what did we pick up?
We have Exeter, Carlisle and Tranmere to play, all top 8 clubs and we're likely to get sweet FA out of those 3 games, if we lose to County and Yeovil, which is highly likely the way things are going, we'll have a 3 point lead over them, THREE POINTS
Annoyed at fans reaction on here tonight I thought the side played well were worth at least a point. Players were clearly gutted. I do not think that the speed and physical nature of the game today meant any of the players were not trying.
The goals we conceded were avoidable and Young missed a sitter. Palmer clearly missing a bit of form but the stick his getting is terrible. If we play like that for the tests of the season we will be safe.

I would rather we played utterly shit and got a point. Its that stage of the seaon,is it not???
We didn’t play that badly, we hugged and puffed as usual and didn’t take our chances, they did. Our goal came from brilliant long range strike from Bulman, a real one off, a few minutes later it could have been 2-0, but young decided to try and round the keeper when it was the wrong option. Second half saw lots of hugging and puffing, the players were clearly getting sick of that clown in the middle who seemed to deliberately give everything to FGR whenever we complained despite their blatant holding on Palmer and constant diving, one of the worst referees I’ve ever seen, seemed to deliberately give FGR decisions as punishment for us complaining, completely unprofessional. The referee didn’t cost us the game though it was down to poor defending.
A couple of notes- Morais doesn’t play with his head, he seems to be trying too hard to be the hero, constantly shooting from range, trying to take on players and over complicating things, needs to be more of a team player.
Palmer- Yes he was constantly being could and it must be frustrating, but he’s got to stop sulking and just get on with it, don’t give up when you lose the ball, just look at Bulman who’s the opposite.
Fortunately we should probably just about be alright as games are running out, but had this slump have happened any sooner we’d almost certainly be going down.
All we need to do from here is just NOT lose against Yeovil and Notts County and pick up a few points and we should just about get over the line. Surely we can manage to not muck it up against Yeovil and Notts County...

Bit like Brexit, multitude of views but taking Cox off was a poor decision as he was my man of the match. Palmer showed much more energy than against Lincoln albeit slightly off form! Lewis still can't cross a ball and individual errors led to their goals but we were up for it today and should have won so all not doom and gloom!
Grego Cox almost runs his socks off, but I just don’t think he’s up to this level. I know he’s not had an awful lot of game time, but he’s yet to score a league goal for us. If we could just combine, RGC’s effort with Palmer’s ability we’d be flying in front of goal.
Totally gutted by today's result......everyman gave 100% and if we play like that till the end of the season and still go down then the players can be proud of their commitment to help us stay up...
Keep the faith and our luck will turn.
Really? We could end up going down with a top 10 budget and the players should be proud of their commitment?
What next, you gonna remind us what a great job Cioffi has done at Crawley?
I am often saddened by your posts..non more so than this one...record needs changing...😀😀

our weakness and strength is our inconsistency. Get a grip we aint going down have been safe all season.

Gabby was poor ref poor and Palmer diabolical when he dived (again) second half obviosly thinking he could con a penalty had he put some effort in he mightve got a shot in and scored. Terrible attitude. Dire performance and needs replacing.
So pleased someone commented about Palmer. I can't stand the guy. He was dreadful yesterday. How RGC was taken off instead of him I do not know
I just want to congrate Camara. You could see at the end of the game how much losing hurt him. He was all over the park, never giving up even when he loses the ball. I hope we keep him next season.

Spot on, his energy & attitude are exemplary. He got further forward in the 2nd half & we looked better for it, but he will get caught out on occasions cos he wins the ball in places where he is isolated. RGC is a pocket dynamo too...!

Blimey Alex, you summed that up with perception & accuracy. There is something very wrong when youngsters like Pooch & RGC display a better team ethos & application in a dogfight, than seasoned pros like Palmer & Morais (don't get me started on Poleon).
At the final whistle, Dannie stood tall & proud & applauded the fans, he is a model professional & i would like to know what he had to say to some of his teamates - particularly Hollywood Morais - in the changing room...?
Both FGR goals came from us giving them the ball in dangerous positions, they were organised & have a predatory finisher, but in the final analysis we beat ourselves.
Lastly - do we work on set plays? there was a time when we actually got goals from them, something for the critics of Connolly to ponder on.
