We're still waiting for untold millions from clubs wanting our stars of course, and Poleon maybe .....
With the nucleus of last season's squad still with us (courtesy of Selim awarding long contracts) I think it could be another long season of struggle.
What are the odds of Glenn Morris winning the POTY for a fourth successive term?
JTG
It hardly looks like a team storming to win the league especially with the two p's in the pod. Furthermore we still have an incompitent deluded incapable manager at the helm. The best we can hope for is surviving relegation again and a miracle in a cup (the Sussex Senior more like than any other!)
I really can’t call it either way at the moment, I’m sure we’ll have a couple of outgoings. I count that we have 8 strikers plus couple of others that can play there, bit of a difference from couple of seasons ago we just had Verheydt with Enzio and Roberts converting when he got injured. The mix between youth and experience seems balanced. If camara can continue to develop along with as Sesay, Grego-Cox and ANG then there is cause for optimism. I certainly don’t see us as weaker than last year and the manager will have his first pre season and the experience of lower league football under his belt. Maybe I’m looking at it glass half full.

have you forgotten how many past managers were sacked on better results than the manager we still have?

Well that hasn’t worked out too well for us has it?? How about we actually give a manager a bit of time to build something. It took HK quite a while. 14th place finish last year wasn’t a complete disaster with everything that happened.

beaten by Haywards Heath...no cup run...dismal performances ...the two p's in a pod incidents....flag protesters...boos for team performance and management to name but a few, sure was a 'successful' season. As for HK we all know how well his career in football management has gone.
Just a wild thought...let's try starting the season with a soupçon of optimism. Dare I suggest that we ALL try to get behind the team and the manager for at least the first 10 games

Wodin you will no doubt be in a majority come the start...however some fans havent forgotten the end. How many stayed to applaud the team on their lap of 'whatever' last game of the season. Ground was nearing empty and yes a few clapped...many didnt. Much a repeat if many dismal home matches. I dont believe he will be sacked certainly not before Christmas but i wont pretend im happy with the manager. I will get behind the tean and him but i will never forget tge utter rubbish spouted after games we were appauling in last season. Nor will i forgive him for losing to Haywards Heath. Surely the lowest point in the most recent club history. I be delighted if he proves me wrong and have no problem you coming back here end season and quote me here. But im not holding my breath. Realistically i have no confidence he can achieve promotion.
So basically you’re not prepared to get behind the team and manager because of what was said after matches last season?😳🤔 Honestly, I do wonder why the club bothers sometimes.

I think you’re mixing up your seasons, Redtiger is talking about 2017/18 when we finished 14th under Kewell, not the season just passed under Cioffi. Does beg the question of how interested you actually are if you think we came 14th in 2018/19.
As for Haywards Heath, well if you consider the Carabao Cup to be Mickey Mouse, then I really fail to see the significance of a cup which isn’t even a first-team competition.

The adversity and so called failures are brilliant in my book it’s called character building. You can go two ways, either throw the towel in or use the failures to bounce back stronger. I’d hazard a guess GC has some big balls, managing in a foreign country in a league you have no experience of and not being fluent in the language takes a certain amount of character.
