Harsh but true Jonny Maddison was a better keeper, and lets face it we only signed Yusuf Mersin due to his Turkish connections when the new owner took over it is about time we had a competent 2nd keeper and lets face it he is only at / been at CTFC this long because he wont command a high wage
if he is really as good as some seem to think keep him as 3rd keeper and loan him out, i bet a league club wont touch him
Was he?!? How would you know? Maddison has even less game time than Mersin. Although Mersin has had a few nightmares from set pieces in games he’s played, he has also shown himself to be capable of some excellent saves.

I have seen him play a number of times that's how
Mersin is over 6ft yet can't catch the ball his kicking is poor so while he can pull off the odd good save he is well short of the quality needed at L2 level
I am sure he will get signed up by a non league club however and wish him well
I didn’t even realise Maddison played for Yeovil about two seasons ago, he’s at Darlington now probably the level Mersin will be going. The only time I saw Maddison play for Crawley was at a three bridges pre season friendly.
The thing i recall was defenders usually elected to play it into touch, in preference to playing it back to the keeper...
...never a positive sign & an indication that his problems were more likely about communication, organisation & confidence, rather than his ability to stop shots, which was quite good on occasions.
Cox was playing well in a struggling side - then Jamie Howell was sacked and Mark McGhee came in to the end of the season - Cox hasn't played since
But just before MM came in Cox signed a contract for next season, would be surprised if the new manager Lee Bradbury would let him go as he is excellent at this level
Following up my theory on players with a geographic link to the area. Might be worth seeing if QPR extend the contract of - Eastbourne lad - Joel Lynch. A good versatile experienced defender in his early 30s.
