Interesting, but actually just seems to confirm the general view already expressed in the thread, some clubs have more money than others... but some clubs have spent it more wisely than others...(?)
One other point about City's finances that gets overlooked - particularly in the light of the justifiable stick that West Ham receive - is that they acquired a state of the art stadium, largely funded from the public purse.
Must stick in the craw of their peers who had to fund their own ground developments... And helped make the club a far more attractive prospect to potential middle-eastern investors...!

i dont think any of the others clubs need worry about the small westhamlet been downhill ever since Bob left...and I dont mean the builder!
looks like Chelsea got the best deal out of that triangular (Sanchez, Mkhitarian, Giroud) transfer circus... But none of them have been a roaring success.
Best of a bad bunch. Even Giroud is a fringe player.
But what an excellent fringe player... 2nd half tonight in Baku, leading the line superbly & brilliant interplay with the mercurial - and likely departing -Hazard.
Arsenal needed Giroud up front, their forwards looked out of sorts.

I agree Thad. Top scorer in Europa League with 11 goals, but a passenger in the PL. Maybe it is the manager.
Arsenal looked very poor. Ozil is up there with Sanchez when it comes to the worst signings in recent times.
