Yes, because it would be totally independent, and also has trust status, something which is not easy to obtain. Anyway, hopefully they will remain the ONLY supporters’ organisation.

The thing is i really don't think many care and certainly from the turn out it confirms that theory
As a simple fan of CTFC for many years can someone explain the background of this to me please.
I watch football matches and am not interested in the politics.
As far as I know this only started recently after HKP began gathering support for the training ground and he questioned why the CTSA were not supporting the bid for the Bewbush facility. Eventually they did but some other supporters were starting to wonder what the CTSA contributes and what they’re doing with their money pot. This is why in the minutes HKP suggested a new supporters group where the monthly contribution states that those who paid a small fee to the CTSA regularly would have a say on what the money they gain can be used for the improve the supporters experience or to help the club. From the latest meeting it’s seems to have fizzled out hence the apathetic response.

Not sure it ever "fizzled in" to be honest. The club raised it at a fan rep meeting and PH had a bit to say on twitter. Neither followed through with anything meaningful (or indeed anything at all) so that is all it is - talk.
AGMs have rarely attracted much interest, either in the CTSA days or the old Supporters Club era. In all the years I have followed Crawley I've found you generally only get interest when there is a high (Old Trafford) or a low (administration).
23 people on a season ticket fan base of 1800 is awful quite frankly regardless of the weather, i know some of the old school people on here 5 or 6 support the CTSA but frankly its clear nobody cares about it anymore.
in all the boards and Owners Associations i have been on never have i seen a turn out lower than the mid to late 70s people wise that is how we all know the CTSA isn't fit for purpose anymore
HKP was/is trying to do something positive and proactive something the CTSA really haven't done or certainly haven't told people about for a long time, now its great they give out a few Easter eggs every year but frankly anyone can do that, they failed to back the training ground facility or get behind HKP getting new scoreboards etc so what do they actually do? answers on a stamp please
I also presume with the near 21k sitting in the bank the CTSA will be putting at least half of that into The club or good causes as their is no need to be sitting on such a vast amount of Cash, just imagine how much good that money could do if it was spent on club initiatives rather than sit in a bank account helping nobody.
Then you get the so called supporters rep banging on about how not everyone shares the same passion for the club as the CTSA complete bollox if ever i heard / read it he should be looking to bring people together not turn them away. (I do hope his health improves and wish him the best in that battle)
I have been a season ticket holder for 10 years yet only last year i found out i received free membership to the CTSA which just goes to show they clearly don't do enough promotion of the Alliance, maybe that's part of the reason some want change or simply didn't even know we had a supporters alliance?
with 2 of the 6 board members also moving on including the chair maybe this is the time to dissolve the CTSA and let HKP and the club create a new group that will benefit the members and the club and also not horde money for the sake of it. We also don't know what 3 of the other board members intentions are about staying on or moving on so maybe we all need to hear from them as to what their plans are?

Erm.. grumpy git. While I'm not a member of the supporters alliance you must have had your head in the sand not to realise there is a supporters club. Especially if you have been a season ticket holder for ten years.
Regardless of that. You now know there is one. Get involved. Look at the links on the top of the page. Supporters Alliance.

I think you missed the point Jim, if i didn't know i was apart of it until last year how many others didn't / don't know they get free membership? it has nothing to do with having my head in the sand at no point did i get anything from the CTSA when i got my first, second, third etc etc season tickets that is something the CTSA failed to engage me with.
Once i got a season ticket there should have been a welcome letter from the CTSA telling me what they do what i get being apart of this alliance well that didn't happen. Was it the club failing to pass on a list to the CTSA? was it the CTSA failing to act on a list if neither of those why did the CTSA not ask for a list to contact members or ask the club to do it on their behalf? That's Just one of the failings of the CTSA.
Now you being an old school supporter probably followed one of the supporters clubs at the time so knew everything about what bought them together, some of us younger fans no nothing about those days.
After the attitude of the treasurer towards me on Twitter the fans rep thinking the board care more about the club than others why would anyone want to get involved in it?
I strongly believe if your going to push others to join it / get involved you really should be leading by example so i presume we can expect you now to apply to join the board can we?

GG; I have never been a member of any fans club, I'm not a season ticket holder (shift work) but I am old 😥.
You've made a good point about the supporters alliance contacting you, though I'm not sure if they do have a holier than thou attitude, but I too made a good point about getting involved.
I'm not too sure I should be defending the CTSA as I'm not a member so I shall back off now.

I have already told HKP if he and all the other organisations i.e. the CTSA supports coaches group, his followers on Twitter etc etc can all get together and become a truly united group i would help where possible.
