Edit: just to be absolutely open on the matter, I did produce a fabulous logo & website (with training) for CTSA at ridiculously low mates rates & assisted them with the odd spot of technical support.
Indeed Thad I remember it well. If you need a reference you only have to ask Now your work has Grumpy Git's seal of approval you will go a long way young man.
A far cry from those days of selling the fanzine in the underpass during the Majeed era. Still probably no need for us to mention you were raising money, and I guess in any case we shouldn't mention the M word as HKP really doesn't like it.
You will be pleased to know that I have retired to an offshore tropical tax-haven on the proceeds... I am so minted that i even waived the charge for the last spot of work I did for CTSA (ask Carol).
Dear oh dear, it was a lighthearted response to your patronising paternalistic post that preceded it. Re-read it again in that knowledge & then take a chill pill.
Lol was it a light hearted response?? I was genuinely paying you a compliment sorry you took it the wrong way but that's the problem with the written word it has no emotions like a face to face conversation
I do like what you have done with the ctsa website that I promise you
I will accept the compliment in the spirit in which it is offered, thank you.
You are right that it boils down to semantics, but please have an objective read of your post (no need for further discussion) and you will clearly see why anyone reading it could easily consider it patronising...?

Fair play I accept reading it again it was poorly written so please accept my apologies
All good, no harm done, but you will have to allow for my off-kilter sense of fun in our dealings... I am sure it would feature prominently in any reference from Simon.

Cant even give a compliment to someone now without Mr chuck your hand in and dont attend games James getting his 2 pence worth in pmsl
But as I said in a previous post James you always have stand up comedy to turn to as you sure as heck make me laugh
Glad I make you laugh Paul. But one question - why are you calling me James?
Blimey Grumpy, I chose a bad few days to stitch myself up, between Goodwood & The Ashes (which have both been fantastically good - nothing better than seeing that cheating scumbag Warner go cheaply, especially as he should have reviewed it), I have been less than prolific.
But my thought process (and that gentle nudge from Simon) reminded me of the need to be even more open in my disclosure.
As fanzine editor I did promotional activities on behalf of CTSA and G&H. I also made contributions to both of their charitable causes & attended social activities organised by both parties. In the past I have also worked on occasional promotional projects for the football club too.
I know it is hardly insider trading, but felt it wise to be as transparent as possible.
