So as many of us including myself have been quite downbeat and negative at times lets have a thread of some of the positive things the club has done in the close season and in pre season
I would say the £1 entry and kids day for the Chelsea game was a massive success and hope we can repeat that in the future

Let's be honest, the £1 entry will only have been a success if the increased crowd numbers are followed up into the start of the season. The family day however was the right thing to do by the club and they should be applauded for it. The thing I'm positive about right now is the fact we have more strength in depth, a bigger squad than we have had in the last couple of years. It can only be good for competition.
I like the fact that we still have a football club to call our own, as it wasn't so long ago we nearly didn't!
I am glad we have owners that want take the club forward, whether they do or they don't it does look like they are trying to do their best.
We have a good fanbase really, apart from a little arguing here and there we all follow the same team and want to succeed.
I actually quite like the fact we are buying some non league players and giving them the chance, and also taking risks with the Dutch guys.
I honestly think with the depth of the squad and a manager who wants to make a name for himself in management, we will have a decent season.
C'mon Crawley, we can do this!
our own??? HK has been called a puppet of the owners. Another toy for the rich.
What does it matter if someone called HK a puppet of the owners? I seem to think people have called you an idiot so does that make you an idiot? stop with the school playground crap, as for "Another toy for the rich", how the bloody hell do you think football clubs survive? do you think your ticket purchase pays the bills? if it wasn't for the rich you'd be watching sunday league football at Cherry Lane

If the ticket purchase doesn't go towards the paying of the bills, then I would be interested to know where the money does go?

Please re-read my post, I did not say the ticket purchase doesn't go towards paying the bills, I said "do you think your ticket purchase pays the bills"

I read your post first time. Im sure the gentleman in question doesn't believe the hard earned £20 he pays on a Saturday pays all the bills.

"Pays all the bills"?! Surely you need to buy him a pint too.

Come on, if it was all neggars we wouldn't go. What is it RR&R (in terms of football) that makes you want to be at our wonderful stadium on a Saturday afternoon?
A larger squad, which means competition for places - particularly in central midfield - is a positive. Having the core of the squad together rather than having a new squad each season, which has been the case for the last few campaigns.
That's about it as far as I'm concerned. You take nothing from friendlies aside from fitness - we'll get a better idea of if we have enough quality or not after Port Vale, who, for my money, will be bang average next season.
