Crawley Town play at home to Cheltenham Town in League Two of the 2019/2020 season on Saturday 31st August, 3:00pm kick off. Please keep all discussion about the match to this thread. Thank you and come on you Reds!
HT goaless (dull half and do we really need floodlights on now?), Reece and David the stand out players. Cheltenham offered virtually nothing and Reds have lacked killer touch in a half of several dire corners Reds have taken and a freekick set up that was awful. Do they practice that? On positive note this match is definately winable. COYR.

...for me, this result is the true marker of how we have improved from last season. Not the exciting Orient result, not the amazing Norwich result. But this - getting 3 points right before the death of the game. A game that wasn’t exactly one to watch back on VHS (I am old). No way last season, let alone any of the 3 or 4 prior, would we have picked up 3 points from this.
Cold bottle of white wine will be purchased at the little Tesco Express in Downland Drive on the way home back to the glorious heights of Caburn!
89 minutes of dross and a last minute winner! Two average sides toiling towards a 0-0 draw with one bit of quality at the end. I expected it might be a bit of a comedown after the Norwich game and it certainly was. Great to get the win in the end and that's now 3 wins on the bounce (including the cup win).

can you tell Tesco to stock individual ice creams while you are at it. As for the match dull quite uneventful several Reds couldve been sub'd and just when you think its heading for a point each we snatch all 3 points. You dont often see the ref carry shirt giving it back to the player that's also carded for his goal celebration. A game instantly forgetable. Three valuable points. I agree with MOM awarded to David. Reece faded second half before being sub'd off. Cheltenham missed a couple of really good chances and will no doubt feel we stole something from them. Ref gave several bizare decisions and had a poor game.
Awful game but I think it was mainly down to Cheltenham coming to defend they had six or even seven at the back for large parts. Our energy levels were down a touch also following Tuesdays efforts.
Given Peleon , Smith and likley Payne now are not part of The Managers plans I think we need to bring in a decent centre mid who has a little experience. Bully wont be able to play every week and Moralis is more wider player.

You are right here. With last season's squad we would have had 1 point out of 6 from last 2 league games. Instead 6 points and a good cup win means everything is upbeat.
Sad thing is attendance was 2,095 so most of the JCLs from the Norwich game disappeared fast.
Like most around me I had settled for a draw but Coifee was brave enough to put two strikers on and the pressure told with Palmers super goal, not too sure about the much improved Sesay for mom as for me Dallison and Tunicliffe are becoming absolute rocks in defence.
Alright, it's me! My first game of the season and it was crap!
Lumbala had a touch like one of my old girlfriends. She had to go! Morais had the vision of Pew in Treasure Island. Grego-Cox run down more blind alleys than an EastEnder dip and our midfield had the bite of a toothless hag in Soho. Thankfully the defence stood tall and proud. If you can't win, don't lose and hopefully a chance comes your way. It did with Palmer at the end.
Fair play to Cioffi. Takes of midfielders and replaces them with attackers in an attempt to win the game. Sometimes it works.
