Well it was football at it's best, both cracking games and entertaining for the supporters. Credit to all 4 sides for not turning it into a bore fest. Nathan Jones looked totally shattered afterwards.
I have a sneaking feeling for Exeter, they seem to have hit form at the right time.
Exeter decided to stay with their manager when they were bottom of the league and now they are in the playoff final, a lesson there for Crawley Town maybe.
But at the time I think Exeter had a serious injury crisis, we stuck with Dermot through our relatively minor injury crisis in the autumn but then with a full squad he bored the pants off everybody with his "chess as football" approach. Nice to see Deadman make another potentially calamitous error as Hylton went to ground for the 10,000th time this season (at least 1,000 of those when we outplayed them up there a few months ago). Thankfully the cheat didnt prosper! Nice to see one of the lower budget sides (Exeter) get to the final, proves it can be done.
