The first round draw is on monday. The last club drawn out gets a bye to the next round together with 36k in prize money. This is due to Bury not participating. A home draw would be good.

A bye would be better. Straight into round 2, just one match before potentially drawing one of the big teams in the third round, and 36k for doing nothing!
No doubt Salford will get the bye.

If we were luck enough to get the bye we would of them progressed further this year than for a few seasons and of course the money would be handy for no outlay.

or AFC Sanctimonious will and they'll say it's just reward.
Draw will include Chichester City, could be an interesting if we drew them!
That would be an intriguing tie!!
I wonder who will end up drawing Haringey or Yeovil? Strange one that. I wouldn’t condone racist behaviour ever.....but I think it’s a slippery slope if and when teams simply walk off the pitch and refuse to continue. I wouldn’t be surprised to see teams using this potential loophole to defeat being used in the wrong way. I hope I’m wrong. I hope this doesn’t happen again. But I fear it will....in the short team anyway. ADMIN NOTE: NB there is now a separate thread to discuss the abandoned FA Cup Tie. Thank you

We've been knocked out by them before - although it was a long time ago! :-)
We've had some dreadful results in this competition in recent years but being beaten by a team that was county league last year really would be a new low!
For their first season out of the County League, Chichester have done really well. Top 8 in the league, games in hand and now 1st round of the cup. Impressive.
